What a great meal!

I am traveling alone, and although I've traveled extensively throughout the world, Chicago is definitely proving to be the place for women traveling alone! I was seated promptly, and no one rolled their eyes when I said "one for dinner" (thank you!), and had a wonderful meal, with great scallops... read more

Sat at the half full bar. Sriracha shrimp was beautiful. Maytag bleu salad divine. And then I waited and waited and waited. Again the bar was half full...decided against an entree and saved some money. The bartender, however, missed the extra tip better service would have given him.

I've eaten here many times, but it has been five years or so, so one does not know how things have progressed. No need to worry, the place is at the top of their game. Nice architecture and interior design. Our waiter was Derrick who was delightful. He had great recommendations and made us laugh and feel like we were... More

First let me thank the Tripadvisor reviewers ahead of me for helping me select this place for dinner. Also thanks for catch 35 for doing a great job with the wine, the oysters and the fish. Little did I think I would find a place in Chicago that rivals Seattle restaurants, but I did.... I would highly - highly recommend... More

We knew we'd discovered a good spot when we were greeted by the smooth sounds of a jazz quartet when we walked in. Very welcoming staff and nice urban cool decor. Walked past the fish counter and got a look at all the goodness waiting for us on the menu. Tony, our server, made some excellent recommendations - the Chilean... More

We had a party of 8 and we were all very happy with our entrees, our salads, and our side dishes. Three people had the scallops and were quite enthusiastic about them. I had the blackened salmon and it was done to perfection--still nice and moist, but not under cooked. The seasoning (both the blackening and the chile sauce) was... More

I've been eating here since the restaurant opened in 1993, and I can honestly say "not a thing has changed". But that is a good thing! First, the location in excellent and easily reachable via car (they offer valet parking), or train (the L is 2 blocks away at State & Lake). It's not far from the symphony or the... More

I have been to Catch 35 many time over the years, and consistently, this restaurant delivers. The Calamari appetizer is absolutely the best ever and the Tuna cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth fresh. Nice wine menu and great staff make this a winner!

Menu selection was very good. Quality of the food was top of the line and very fresh. Prices alittle high but reasonable.

We ate here on the coldest day -35 wind chill. Valet was 12.00 which is taken off the meal. The Chicago Theater is one and a half blocks away. We had a reservation, so we were seated right away. They were very busy! Our waiter was wonderful and friendly. I had the clam chowder , my husband the salad. We... More
