The menu is extensive and has many seafood options as well as an adequate number of non-seafood options. It appears that the menu is updated frequently (maybe daily) depending on what's freshly available. I highly recommend the shrimp & crab bisque if it's available. The atmosphere is cozy but energetic - we were sitting right next to a live band... More

Excellent food and service. One of our favorite restaurants in Chicago. Very upscale without being stuffy or pretentious. Everything on the menu is perfectly prepared and arrives at your table in a timely fashion. Specialty drinks are made exactly as ordered. Fabulous crab cakes. Reservations are recommended. The bar area can get pretty crowded, but there's live piano or jazz... More

Adjacent to the Renaissance Hotel on W Wacker, Catch 35 provided us with a pleasantly surprising dinner experience. On a Friday night, live jazz greeted us at the door and bar area. A little too loud for us during dinner, but it was no problem. We were seated toward the back of the restaurant, where we had a lovely table... More

Ok, so I'm not the world's biggest cheapskate but I just wouldn't pay so much $$$ for mediocre seafood that I can make at home. The place looks nice. The layout is odd. Just like straight back and narrow. Our server was very nice and efficient. We started off with some asian style buffalo shrimp. A whiff on the flavors.... More

Used to like another place that rhymes with Rick but Catch 35 has shown the ability to accommodate on line reservations, excellent food, superb service, and a very comfortable motif. My wife and I will definitely be back next time we are in town. Priced appropriately for excellent food and service.

From the moment we walked to a warm smile from the host we knew this would be a great experience. We were seated very quickly and immediate water and bread brought to the table. Our waitress asked if we had theatre reservations and we told her 8:00 at the Goodman. Our reservation was for 6:00. We tried the pre-fixe, I... More

Fantastic restaurant. Brilliant oysters. We all enjoyed the oysters, presented in different ways. A stand out dish was the Tuna sashimi. My companion ordered this again when he returned to Catch 35 two night later with other business guests. Raved about it so the whole table ordered it. I enjoyed the salmon - fantastic presentation. Cooked perfectly. The wines we... More

We were going to the theater and our usual restaurant was booked so we tried Catch 35 and were very pleased. It is a big and pleasant room. The waiter was friendly and helpful. My wife ordered Lake Superior Whitefish and I ordered Scallops. Both were excellent with very good side dishes. Since we were going to the Goodman Theater,... More

Great service for our group of 6. Seared ahi was excellent, and all dishes appeared to be carefully prepared. Cost on the high side and menu was not large but I'd return.

Very elegant Asian-fusion seafood restaurant in the heart of the Chicago loop - excellent seafood, always very fresh. Surprisingly, their beef selections are also very good. Due to the fresh nature of the seafood, the catches for a specific day aren't always going to be consistent, so what happens on one visit is not a guarantee for the next visit,... More
