Best meal I've had in Chicago!

Delish! Delightful! Decadent! Choice of large and small plates! Salmon small plate glazed and cooked to perfection, small plate lamb ribs worth raving about, and large plate burrata kale pizza (unusual combo but super tasty on a nice crust), followed by cappuccino and an amazing chocolatey... read more

Salmon small plate glazed and cooked to perfection, small plate lamb ribs worth raving about, and large plate burrata kale pizza (unusual combo but super tasty on a nice crust), followed by cappuccino and an amazing chocolatey cheesecake with pralines... Small restaurant with a talented staff that serves some amazing fare. Right next to Blackbird (sister restaurant) this place fills up quick and stays that way for a while. Great micro beers and a killer wine list makes this a destination. The food, creative and all made with love and passion. If you want some fresh and creative food this... More

Don't let the tight quarters scare you away -- I almost did and it would have been a dire mistake!! The food is fresh, inventive, and DELICIOUS!! We had a chance to watch the chef do his artistry and we were blown away by his skill and perfection. The service was wonderful and the prices were very reasonable given the... More

We had the chance to go to Avec and it was awesome. I loved the wood oven paella with chicken confit. Tasted the most yummy stuffed dates. The butterscotch budino was just the right sweet! The service was spot on and I would definitely go back as soon as I can!

Every time I go to Chicago this place is a must. Everything I've had has been on point. The only disappointing part is they constantly change their menu so I can't have the mouth watering dish I had the time before. Also, they have a killer wine selection that's affordable....ranging between $28-$45.

I came here on my own in my 2nd night in Chicago and was blown away at how good it was, the chorizo and dates was an amazing combination.. I came back 2 weeks later with my wife and again it did not dissapoint, don't leave Chicago without coming here..

Ate with my colleagues on a Sunday night at 8pm. They don't take reservations, which we knew, but the wait was only about 15 minutes. Communal tables, very noisy. Food was inventive and good, but the Brussel sprout salad and pork shoulder were both over-salted. Wine menu a bit over complicated and a bit over-priced. My wine was good, but... More

This restaurant is unique - not only in the appearance but with their menu's too. Its kind of social eating experience in long narrow place. Their fish items were delicious and a must try!

Came here with my girlfriend for Sunday brunch on a recommendation. We were coming from The Loop area, so it was a bit of a walk (~30 minutes), which is fine on a sunny day, but know that it's out of the way in an otherwise quiet neighborhood. When we went, it was busy (a good sign!), with all the... More

walked in on sunday @ 9 and grabbed a seat at the bar. service was great, special was seared sepia (cuttle fish) with lots of fresh veggies, herbs, and nice spice edge. really great flavour. Started with a asperagus/radish/beet tambuleh which was also bright and balanced. Paired with bartender's recommendation of verdejo. Service was well-paced and attentive, nice bustling vibe,...
