Worth the visit

We went around 5 P.M. for dinner and we had the place to ourselves for the first half hour. Staff was very nice, the wine was amazing and the food great. My wife got a deal on line and it was so worth it. We will be back in Chicago this year and planning on going back to Bin 36.

They've packed their tiny menu w a plethora of obscure items that do not impress. My salmon, although tiny, was excellent, and the Brussels sprouts app also impressed, but u pay for the just "ok" "artisanal" bread, the waitress forgot our side of spicy greens, and the burger just so, so. All in all, pricey and unimpressive.

Can say enough about the food service wine and atmosphere. I want to go soon to enjoy the patio! But the evening was priceless. Please say hello to Enoch the owner as he is what makes it all work!

I like the old Bin and had gone there for years. The new Bin, reopened this month and moved to a new location, is a great improvement over the old one. First off, it is easy to find on street metered parking. Next, the place is smaller, warmer and more cozy. The food is very good but what makes this... More

Nice place for a glass of wine but the food was uninspiring. Have a drink and move on as there is so many choice around there.

I ate here with my sister. We were looking for a place to have a light dinner with some drinks to prepare for a following late night out. I loved the atmosphere and open concept of the place. We ordered a variety of cheeses and pommes de frites and dip. I ordered a flight of light whites and my sister... More

We went to a going away party for Bin. It temporarily closed until March/April of 2015. It will be under new ownership at a new location in the city. We have enjoyed many meals there in the past 4 years and I have learned a great deal about wine. I expect the experience to be even better under the new... More

Now let me start with the good. The squash soup was phenomenal. The bacon in it awesome. For main I ordered the monkfish. Everything about the dish was really good except the fish itself. It was a overcooked and tough. In my experience this is unusual for monkfish. My compadre had the same problem with their trout too so I... More

This was the second time we ate here when visiting Chicago. Both times we have gotten a mix of wine flights and cheese flights and usually one other menu item. We love the ordering options, and being able to explore many tastes in one sitting. The wine has always been gold as well as whatever food we've ordered. Just had... More
