Excellent Italian

Our flight was late and they were very accommodating to move our reservation for 5, and quick to serve cocktails immediately upon seating! The bread was good and super thin home made bread sticks. The only disappointment was they were out of a few dishes including the ravioli. However, the squid... read more

Excellent quality, pasta "aldente", and great ingredients; also good product in meat dishes. Menu a little bit short, but nice wine's list. Recommended.

Visiting Chicago for an overnight happened to be on my wife's birthday. Took Mom with us and had a delicious meal with excellent service. My wife is gluten intolerant and they took great care to be sure the dishes she ordered would not cause any distress. The gluten free pasta was excellent. She also had the short ribs which were... Ate here on a business dinner with colleagues. I eat mostly gluten free and they had some nice options like the polenta appetizer and several main entrees without pasta. They also claimed to have gluten free pasta if I wanted it. The food was well prepared and quite interesting and tasty. Overall a nice experience. The only complaint was that... More

St Paddy's weekend in Chicago and it was a beautiful warm evening. Our group of three was celebrating a16th birthday of the youngest member. It was not only her first real trip to Chicago but also to a real Italian restaurant. I was proud of how she handled ordering and enjoying her cuisine. Our server was patient and helpful and... Slightly off the beaten path (about a 5 minute cab ride from the majority of the hotels in the Michigan Ave area) and miles away from the everyday Americanization of the Italian food culture lies Coco Pazzo, a diamond of the first water, even in the luscious world of Chicago cuisine. The atmosphere is a combination of lively and sumptuous,... More

The food was very good, but the temperature in the dinning room was uncomfortably hot. Made it hard to enjoy the meal. We also had the misfortune of sitting near the kitchen where servers came sprinting past our table. When our food arrived it was unceremoniously plopped onto the table.

Coco Pazzo is a very good Italian restaurant, with particularly good service (efficient, and friendly). I have eaten there a number of times over the years, and rarely been disappointed. Every once in a while I find a dish over-salted, or perhaps just a small notch below greatness, which is why I gave it four stars rather than five. But... More
