The pizza here was decent but nothing spectacular. This was my first experience with a Chicago Deep Dish and it did not live up to expectations. The pizza was served cold and the two app's we ordered were sub par as well. Next time I'm in Chicago I will try one of the other "famous" pizza places like Giordano's.

We were visiting Chicago with someone who had not been to Chicago before, so we were going to introduce them to deep dish pizza. Our local friend recommended her number one place, but she warned us that it could be crowded and Gino’s East River North would be a reasonable Plan B. After our flight landed and we checked in... Loved the service, from the hostess, to the manager, to the waiter. We ordered a frozen pizza the day before to travel home with us after a great weekend in Chicago, but when we came to pick it up, it wasn't quite ready so we were asked to come back a bit later to enjoy a round of free drinks... Another great meal at Gino's. Very deep, very tasty authentic pizza. Be prepared to wait, a good deep dish is 45 minutes. Start with the minestrone soup which was warm and wonderful on the chilly day.

Got recommendations from locals for some of the best deep dish pizza. Everyone has their favorites and on this trip we only had time for one. Got delivery from Gino's and the pizza was big, juicy and delicious. But I did not prefer the cornmeal crust. Will be back in Chicago next year and plan to try a few more... More

I went with a group to Gino's to experience authentic deep dish pizza. The pizza is a little pricey, so be prepared to spend about $20 or so on a personal. The pizza is good, although I am still a thin-crust kind of person. The only complaint is that we had to wait SO long. I know it takes about... More

Great deep dish pizza close to the hotel and "World Famous". Server a tiny bit too enthusiastic, and it was very touristy, but we are tourists, so we enjoyed.

This was recommended as the best deep dish pizza in town. We got there and were seated immediately. The waiter did warn us that pizza took a while but never expected it to take 40 minutes. Had some great beer selections but very pricey. Pizza came, nothing out of this world. It's was more of a pizza pie. But 22... More

Stopped in here hoping for a quick lunch. It takes 45 minutes to bake a deep dish pie. It was Very Good when it came out (although the server messed up our order. We also had some mozzarella sticks that were excellent.

Had lunch here on my first day in Chicago. Only a 15 min wait to be seated but a 50 min wait on meal. Bar drink was ordinary. Chicken Parma sandwich and fries. Not that great. Deep pan pizza. Was ok. Disappointed over all as I was looking forward to my visit there.
