Description: Fogo de ChaoR (fo-go dee shoun), is an authentic Southern Brazilian steakhouse. In 1979, FogoR began sharing the gaucho way of preparing meat in Porto Alegre, Brazil. We invite you to enjoy the delicious preparations of our gaucho chefs along with our gourmet salad bar, authentic Brazilian side dishes, and award-winning wine list.

This was my first visit to Fogo, but my wife and mother-in-law visited the Indianapolis location and weren't too pleased. However, we decided to give the Chicago location a chance. We called ahead to ask about the menu as we are eating a Whole30 diet and can't have processed foods. The hostess did her best to tell us what the... More

This is the real deal, similar enough to one would find in Brazil. It is busy, it is loud, and it is delicious. The management here is doing an outstanding training job: the staff that dealt with our table was very attentive and kind. The food is of superb quality, including the good salad bar. I strongly encourage you to... More

I have been to this Fogo de Chao on 2 other occasions and wanted my wife to experience the restaurant as well. We made reservations (during a birthday trip to Chicago) and were seating promptly even though the were very busy. Service was excellent [as always] and the food was top notch. My wife loved the experience and already said... More

I have been to a few different Brazilian steakhouses and most are decent to buffet quality served to you with a smile. Chicago's Fogo de Chao Is quite the opposite... The only thing that surpassed the amazing choices and quality of food was the Service! Wow! Quite possibly the most accommodating personable wait/service staff I have ever seen... Good job... More

This was our third time in 2 months and it's one of the best places for Steak we have gone for! Paul & Andrew were superb! I don't know how any guest can leave upset after talking to these gentleman about any issue they encountered. Their drink menu is really good as well, Mango refresher defiantly kicks in after one.... First thing you should know is that if you're thinking spending over $50 a person, that you'll be surrounded by fine, upstanding, proper folk like yourself, this is not the place for you. I was appalled to see many people wearing ripped jeans and dirty sneakers. During dinner hours, they really should have a dress code. The behavior was on... More

If rodizio style dining is in your Chicago dinner plans then you will not be disappointed with a reservation at Fogo de Chao. The overall atmosphere is comfortable and the service was very good. Although a bit pricey, you do get what you pay for. Starting with an incredibly fresh and delicious salad bar you will find it difficult to... More

We love this place and occasionally go to Chicago just to eat here. We met friends/family from out of state there. We got there early so had a chance to check the bar fare, and the service was great. Excellent wine list. As always, the meat is incomparable, and the service is quick and efficient. We had made reservations in... More

This restaurant is a great concept with "gauchos" coming out with skewers of beef and pork. They also have a terrific salad bar. It can get expensive though. $50.00 alone for the all you can eat dinner. But drinks and desserts can really rack up a big bill.

The meat was great and plentiful. It's well seasoned and Fogo is very accommodating if you have preference as to the doneness of the meat, just let them know your preferences. If you see the lamb chops guy, jump on it! If you are here with family members who are not wholly carnivores, they do have a salad bar only... More
