On the second floor directly located on Michigan Ave, this restaurant is a fixture to Chicago.every time I visit, I eat here, food is consistent, dark atmosphere and live music gives the place though noisy an intimate feel. Affordable prices for Chicago

Stopped in last evening for dinner at Bandera and as always enjoyed. Was alone, so sat at the bar and ordered salad and glass of wine. Bandera is a good choice for lunch/dinner when on Michigan Ave. The waits can't be long, would prefer if they would take reservations. request a table in the window to watch the action on... More

We tried to get into the Purple Pig on a cold foggy evening and were told the wait was an hour. Bandera is just accross the street and was a wonderful surprise, I totally recommend a visit. The outside is deceptive, once you are upstairs the attmosphere is wonderful. They seated us quickly with a great view of Michigan Avenue,... More

We visited this place and we were really surprised, from the oytside it is not very nice, you might think it is a tex-mex restaurant, but even since you go to the entranxe you kind of changr your mind, and then you open the door and you find a very nice place, the decoration is so nice and comfort. The... More

First time in Chicago, went to Bandera and was truly amazed with the service and the food. Hands down was the best Prime Rib I've tasted. Someone else has the Salmon and it looked amazing.

I had not been to Bandera in more than a year but the food and service are still great. We started with the corn bread. It was excellent as always. Our party had the pecan trout, Seattle style salmon, filet mignon and prime rib. Everyone loved their food. No complaints about anything. Servings were generous and we all took some... More

After a wait of about one hour we were taken to our table overlooking the magnificent mile. We ordered the BBQ beef back ribs. When we tried them we were astonished, we had never tasted anything like them! I would go as far as to say it's the best beef in Chicago. It was served with curly kale and fries.... More

Party of 5 august 7th of 2014 We had reservations and had to wait 30mins. Not impressive. We enjoyed a bottle of Meomi while waiting. Staff was ultra friendly. Our waitress was fantastic. Had salmon app, salads, and grilled fish. Overall I was pleased. Somewhat like a J Alexander's. But a bit better. Note I love J Alex. for a... More
