Great Restaurant

Really wonderful place to have dinner! Everyone found something to love on Bandera's menu. The kale chicken salad was the best I have ever had. Kale was chopped small and very fresh and chicken was moist and delicious. My friend choose the grilled cod and loved it. It was served with potatoes... read more

You can tell by the customers that this is a favorite Chicago eatery! It is always busy. The decor is great from being able to see the chefs to looking out on Michigan Ave. They have a great bar and a menu that will please everyone. Service was impeccable!

My dining partners were familiar with this restaurant group. From the initial greeting to our departure all staff was on it. Helping us find other local dining options for the remainder of our stay in Chicago. The suggestions on menu items were spot on and all of our meals were cooked perfectly. The atmosphere included live jazz music which made... More

Coming in off the windy, rainy streets of Chicago I was warmed by the kitchen as I entered the restaurant. The dark wood and low ceiling gave an even cozier affect as we were seated by a window looking out on Michigan Ave. Our waiter was friendly and informative about the food choices, giving his personal favorites and being spot-on.... Delicious food, great presentation. Jazz. Great bar. Overlooking Michigan avenue. It's a total winner. The service could be a little better. The French dip is amazing, and I get it every time.

Stopped in there for lunch and had the french dip...best one I've ever had! The roast beef was melt-in-your-mouth wonderful and the bun was perfect! Also shared the roasted artichoke and a pan of cornbread...lordy! If you love cornbread but don't get it often, do NOT pass it up here. You won't be sorry!

Squeezed in the middle of a block on the Mile, this place is awesome. It oozes class with Frank Lloyd Wright inspired wood and panoramic views of the mile. The restaurant had no less than TEN items I wanted. Settled on one of their best knowns and was not disappointed. The Prime Rib French Dip was the very best I... More

Reserved an early table and was surprised to see the place was already hopping! Got some drinks at the bar including a little virgin cocktail for the young one. From the start the service was exceptional. Got to our table- skillet cornbread was excellent to start off, particularly the crusty top! All entrees excellent from bbq salmon to crispy chicken... I cannot find something I do not like about this place. The location is great, with window seat viewing of the street, while the atmosphere is both cozy and classy. The restaurant also has live music regularly. The food itself is very good, from the cornbread at each table, to the classic entrees, and inventive new items. There is something... More

Bandera is great! Beautiful, classy setting, wonderful food and a live jazz band make for a lovely evening out. The corn bread is amazing here, definitely a must try. We had the chicken and rib combo which was great and big enough to share. Our waiter was extremely friendly and very informative, always willing to make suggestions when we could... More
