Excellent

It's on the second floor so you get a little better view of Michigan Avenue. Service, food and setting is always great. I've had lunches and dinners here. year after year, it doesn't disappoint.

Had fun with a group of colleagues. It was noisy and there was jazz playing, but we could still hear each other. Most of us had salads and simple Mexican plates. Wonderful wait staff. Really felt taken care of. Vibrant bar scene.

Bandera is a comfortable restaurant that is almost hidden because it is up the esculator on the 2nd floor of 535 N Michigan Avenue. It is one of my favorite places for lunch, dinner, appetizers, etc. Ask for a window table, and you can watch life on Michigan Ave. It is rare in Chicago to find a restaurant elevated above... More

I disliked nothing. I had no wait time as I sat at the bar, but the service was just as good. I had the chicken that was backed in the stone oven and it was to die for. The chocolate layer cake is a life altering experience. 2nd floor, so the view is also spectacular.

We like to have dinner at Bandera when we're in Chicago because it's always a great experience. Our most recent visit was no exception. Great food, classy atmosphere, wonderful jazz, and attentive service. What's not to like?

Operated by the Hillstone Group, Bandera’s Chicago location is one of five; the others are Brentwood, Scottsdale, Sacramento, and Corona del Mar. It’s a highly rated, high-end casual restaurant on Michigan Avenue, at the southerly end of the Magnificent Mile. The cornbread here is so well known you can find the recipe on the Internet by Googling Bandera cornbread. Our... More

Enjoyable cornbread, made from scratch Bloody Mary's, prime rib, adroit service and good, soft, background of live music. It was a pleasure!

Went to Banderas based on TripAdvisor reviews, and we could easily see why it is so popular! We waited a little more than an hour for a table (do yourself a favor and make a reservation--our fault!) but it was a Friday night in Chicago so we should have planned better. Regardless, it was well worth the wait, and you... More

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. It was our first time and everyone was very friendly. The food was great and we had plenty of left overs to take home with us. So from the service to the food, everything was five star. I will definitely go back and can't wait to taste different items. My hubby had... More

First time at this restaurant. We went out with friends. Elegant setting with live jazz music. There was a mix of casual and fine dining food offerings. Pricey, but worth it. You got a lot of food for the price. I had the prime rib sandwich and it was delicious. My husband had the pork dish with mashed potatoes and... More
