The food was good and that is the only compliment I can give. I went with friends and one of them had went there before and loved the place and wanted to go again. I was warned the staff was snarky but I hated it. I do not like paying to be talked to rudely. It is their theme but... More

The restaurant is a classic. The service is legendary (scary but that's part of the fun) food was incredibly especially the sloppy joe. The wait was worth it what else you have to do? It's just an all around true Chicago place. Make sure you ask for bubbles to be your server but don't tell her I said so! If... More

Good burgers and onion rings. Shakes were great. Shortstack the waitress was fun with the kids. We apparently hit a good day as the wait was only a few minutes for our party of 6. She said it has been over 1 hour waits for a few weeks. Will go back again.

My fiance and I both ordered the deluxe hotdog. It was a footlong, great flavor, 1/2 lb I believe, the server had a great combination of joking and sarcasm, one of the others we heard was very sassy and giving people a very hard time. We would have like to haggle with her too ;) maybe next time. They are... More

I enjoyed the fun atmosphere of Ed Debovic's. The waiters and waitresses got up on the counter and did the YMCA in their 50's gear. Most of the wait staff likes to joke around the customers. Be careful, you could become the center of joke and could be broadcast throughout the restaurant. The prices aren't bad and we got a... More

The food was nothing fabulous. Its a 50's diner with "rude" waiters. The dancing waiters and waitresses are what you are paying for. My kids 5 and 8 loved the place. If you are going there for the food it is just ok but the experience was fun.

Can't say you will ever go to Ed Debevic's for the food. The food is as good as fast food. You go for the rude, quirky employees and their cute 2 minute show. I will say that this restaurant was dirty and not like the one they used to have in Beverly Hills.

I think you go to Ed Debevic's more for the atmosphere than the food. The burgers looked good, but the salad I had was sub-par. The shakes were good too. You just need to stick to the diner type food. The kids enjoyed our waiter, Col. Mustard. He made the dining experience fun for everyone, and gave good service. We... More

An interesting dining experience. Food is good. Atmosphere is OK. It is just fun place to eat (as long as you know what to expect - and have a sense of humor). Sometimes tricky parking.
