I was in tonight and flying solo. I went up to the counter and he helped made me feel comfortable being alone. Great food, I had the Route 66 chicken sandwich which had avocado on sourdough bread and it was yummy! He asked me what I wanted for a drink, I paused and he said cherry coke which was also... More

My sister in law recommended this restaurant because she had been there before & it was a fun place to go. It was a little expensive but worth the visit. The kids had a lot of fun , a must do while in Chicago.

Waiters and waitresses dressed in 50's attire and they are fun to watch and interact with them. Great milkshakes and burgers....I had a caesar salad last time I was there and it was big and very good. My husband ate chicken strips and had them put buffalo sauce on them(was not on the menu)...he like them. Overall fun experience...kids will... More

A concept which was fresh in mid-1980's, a 50's era Diner offering Burgers, Milk Shakes, and the like served by Fun, Sassy Servers, unfortunately has not aged gracefully. A Chicago local, I have over the past 30 years taken numerous out-of-town visitors here, not because I have found it ever to be that great, but because it was a reasonably... More

Thank you for the feedback. At Ed's, we expect our servers to give a little sass, but that shouldn't stop them from delivering quality service and an entertaining experience. We're very sorry to hear about your visit, and we'd like to do everything possible to address these issues and ensure they don't happen again in the future. If you email... More

I took my son who had just graduated from Navy bootcamp here. We had the best time!! Our sever, Popcorn, was the best! He was awesome!! The food was really good (although a little pricey)! Popcorn was "rude" as they all are, but a great server!! He even played "in the navy" & dedicated it to him! TOO COOL! Great... More

This was such a wonderful experience. We have eaten here before and have liked it. I have two daughters, 13 and 15. It's entertaining and the food is good. This visit we tried breakfast. It was excellent. The value was great and service very good. The parking lot is not owned by Ed's so you do have to pay to... More

We were in Chicago with a group of families for a workshop. This place is a fun evening out with kids. Do not expect a gourmet experience but it is not bad.

I have been here before and returned with family for our most recent visit to the Chicago area. We were seated almost right away for dinner. Our server Chevy was excellent. Providing lots entertainment and photobombing pictures. He was sassy enough to be funny, but not annoying. The entire family enjoyed the experience and atmosphere. The food is slightly overpriced... rought my neice here on mothers day 2014, she was so excited and I thought it would be a blast,,, needless to say it was boring, nothing going on at all.. Had someone walking around twisting balloons, my neice asked for one and they never even came to the table, instead as we were leaving they walked up and handed... More

This is one of our favorite places to eat in the city! This little themed burger joint is always a ton of fun! The waiters dance on the counter, and are hilariously rude! If you like fine, stuffy restaurants this is not the place for you. However, if you enjoy a good laugh, amazing milk shakes, and an all around... More
