I have not been to Ed's since college. In town visiting friends, and we decided to go back for old times sake. We were not disspointed. When we entered we were greeted by the waiter saying "What the hell are you doing showing up at a lousy themed restaurant at 11 AM? And the fun went on from there. Sassy... More

Ed's is supposed to be an experience, not just a meal. The wait staff will be sassy and "rude" but that's part of the fun. We had a good time, had good food with ample portions, and got to enjoy a fairly talented crew dance away for our entertainment. Try it, if you haven't already.

Stopped in for breakfast on a Tuesday morning my last day in Chicago to discover they only serve breakfast on weekends so I can't give you anything to go on food wise. A fun, over the top '80's retro of a '50's diner. Lots of neon and assorted paraphernalia make for a colorful photo op. It's the last of the... More

I am so glad this was on our list of places to visit while in Chicago. Food was awesome, staff was even better. If you don't know already you're in for a great time. Can't wait to go again.

Second time at this place although a couple years apart. Ordered the build it yourself turkey burger. UGH! Dry-ish and loaded with peppers and onions (NOT described in menu) to try to give it flavor. Food waaaaaaay over priced - WAY over priced! Lot's of kitschy stuff on walls as expected and was quaint. The staff was wonderful and very... More

Coming to this restaurant is not about food, the food here is not the point. You come here for the experience it self. Your waitress will be very rude and sassy by throughout the menus on the customer or shouting at you in a funny way. I love the experience though I wouldn't come very frequently to this place.

I have great memories of dining here as a kid with my parents, so was excited to take my daughter. Granted we were there at 3:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon but ... the energy level was very low. The jokes all sounded canned. The servers did their funny dance on the counter a couple times which always seemed to... More

Food was over rated and expensive. We were seated next to a family group that clearly did not get the concept of the restaurant. They were offended and upset. THAT was actually more entertaining than our server. The food was slow to arrive, and not all at once, and was just meh. I won't go back.

Great greasy spoon diner food place. The staff is rude on purpose and it makes for a fun time. Burgers, shakes, fries are all great! Lovely place. Get there early or you will be waiting for a while. Staff dance on counter several times during your meal and do routine for everyone. Fun place!
