Description: Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab is the culmination of a partnership between Lettuce Entertain You and Joe's Stone Crab, the legendary seafood restaurant of Miami Beach. Opened in Chicago in the fall of 2000, Joe's features an extensive selection of seafood, flown in fresh daily, to complement the world's finest Florida Stone Crab claws. Joe's has quickly built a reputation as one of Chicago's top steakhouses, featuring the signature 16 oz. Bone-In Filet Mignon and 22 oz. New York Strip Steak. Matched with Joe's famous side dishes, dinner only gets better when capped with a slice of key lime pie. Enjoy a generous cocktail in the bustling lounge or the tuxedo-clad service of the clubby dining room and you'll understand why dinner at Joe's has quickly become one of Chicago's favorite social engagements.

Walked a few blocks from our Magnificent Mile hotel and were seated in a quiet, large booth in the back. Our server tried to sway us to the most expensive options on the menu, but otherwise was helpful and attentive. The ahi tuna appetizer was a bit odd, arriving diced. Had we known, we would have passed on this. The... More

Was in Chicago for a vacation and visited Joe's for dinner on May 19, 2013. The place was super packed. My husband and I had a reservation and had to wait an extra 10 minutes or so for our table. The tiny extra wait was worth it. The food here is amazing. It's pricey but well worth it. And the... More

I arrived in Chicago late on a Thursday, hungry and seeking a good meal. Shaw's quit serving at 10pm so I tried Joe's. Fortunately, they serve late on the bar side. I had dined there before and it was just as good at a table in the bar as it had been in the restaurant. Very good service and great... More

The 1st night we were at Joe's we ate at the bar. The steak was disappointing as it was cold. My dover sole was fantastic. We booked the restaurant for 2 nights later as the atmosphere (mid-week) was electric. We had a much better meal. David looked after us soooo well. Thank you. The crab claws to start are a... More

Our server took at least 20-25 minutes to even acknowledge us (a nod of the head in our direction or some menus shortly after we sat down would have gone a LONG way) and when I tried to enlist the bartender's help in getting our order in he was dismissive. We talked to the manager who was as insincere as... More

Don't confuse Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab with "Joe's Crab Shack." Refined dining with tuxedo-clad waiters rules here, but this is NOT a stuffy, over-priced restaurant. Yes, the Stone Crab Claws ARE pricey, but there are many others options that shine. My waiter,Darren, was friendly, professional and knew the menu food. In fact, as I was dining alone,... More

Do make a reservation unless you want to eat in the lounge. I had the sole, and it was deboned by the waiter. I had the spinach with the fish and it was very good. The price was around $42 for just the fish, and with the spinach it amounted to close to $51.

Expensive, but not too bad at lunch. The crab claws are a must. The service was excellent. Good decor and attention to detail.

We enjoyed this restaurant immensely. As you'd expect for a place like this, the food was outstanding - we particularly enjoyed the stone crab, king crap, halibut, and the unexpected treat, the seasonal roast corn. What really made the night was our waiter, Oz, who was comfortable, friendly, made great suggestions, and even gave us a few other restaurants to... More

We booked a table for Friday night but Joe's is always overcrowded. There is one reason for it: the food is great. We all asked for seafood - crab cake, sea scallops, lobster and fish. They were cooked perfectly and tasty. Chicago is by the lake not by the sea but real fresh seafood. The staff is more than professional. Everything... More
