Wonderful

Probably the best Italian food we have ever had. Good service too! Highly recommended. Get there early. We went at 5 and with an hour it was filling up.

On a recent three-night visit to Chicago my wife and I had dinner two of the evenings at Volare. The meals and service were outstanding. I am confident anyone complaining about either must be confusing this restaurant with someplace else in Chicago. Not only is the food superb, but the prices are very reasonable and many of the dishes are... More

Our service was top-notch. I ordered the veal and it was as big as my plate. There was no way I could eat the whole portion! The pasta is all homemade and the side of spaghetti that accompanied my veal was perfect. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and I would stop here again!

If you are looking or the real deal don't miss Volare. I suggest you call for a reservation as this place packs them in but it is well worth the wait. Food is excellent and the server know their job. You won't be disappointed.

I paid my second visit to Volare and wasn't disappointed. Prices are reasonable. Nice atmosphere.....bustling with a friendly crowd. The menu is great as was the food. Lots of staff means that you get the attention you deserve. This restaurant is a short walk from Michigan Avenue so if you are stsying at the Marriott, the Sheraton or InterContinental it... More

Very nice menu and they don't have issues with customizing dishes if you like. The service was top rate. The Ravioli Ricotta was very nice. Great wine selection too.

Great Italian restaurant. Its located 1 block off the Magnificient Mile yet somehow manages to have a cozy neighborhood feel to it! Very rare indeed. Food was all round good. Classic dishes like octopus, squid ink pasta ... Been here multiple times and either seated at the bar or table. Nice atmosphere and certainly deserves a repeat.

Great menu choices, especially the home made pasta. The gnocchi in vodka sauce is outstanding, and the black spaghetti with seafood is outta this world. Service is pretty attentive, and efficient. I would suggest stopping in for lunch instead of dinner. It's less crowded, you can save a few $$s and still get most of the menu offerings.

Being in downtown Chicago for a few days I walked by Volare several times and took a look at the menu posted outside. The two offerings of risotto caught my eye, as I am always open to a good risotto. Around 5 pm on a Saturday the place was starting to get busy but I was able to get a... More

Visited 2 nights running on our end of holiday stay in Chicago. This restaurant was on a list of recommended independent restaurants provided by our hotel which I feel is a superb idea. The restaurant Volare is outstanding and will not disappoint. Our waitress and the Management made this a wonderful experience. The food is truly special and my advice... More

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
