Amazing beet appetizer recommended by the waitress. The mozzarella was delicious and sweet with a wonderful soft texture. Gnocchi was good & drinks were made right.

The service was good and fairly prompt given they were extremely busy. The waitress was prompt and courteous and knew the menu well. The restaurant was a little louder than hoped for, but bearable. The food was OK but not spectacular.

Great italian resturant , the bartender was very entertaining . Go early and visit him. Dinner was great. Service was excellent. We each had the specials. The place was very busy. We found the service to be very good. It was not fast, but worth the wait. The wine Stewart recommended a great wine.

This is traditional Italian food at it's very best! There is a reason this is a very popular spot for lunch or dinner and it's always full - it is spectacular! I do recommend making reservations, but don't let that stop you from just stopping by either. I love the risotto, and many other pasta dishes. I've had their fish... More

This was my second visit to Volare and I was excited to take some friends that were travelling to Chicago with us there. In our first visit, in March 2014, the service was not special but the food was definitely worth it. However, in our second visit, in December 2014, we could not have experienced a worst service. I made... More

Have eaten here twice within the last six months...I realize my review is in the minority...the place was 'packed' both times...but it's so dimly lit it's difficult to read the menu, the food is heavy and the wine 'pour' is about the size of a thimble...I know the the wine 'pour' is fairly typical for Chicago but this place really... We've been to Volare several times over the last couple of years and they have always created a great dining experience. Most recently, my wife and I visited Volare with our 2 children for my birthday. The meal and service was very good overall. The staff is very attentive asking us how everything was and if we were enjoying our... More

We always eat at Volare when in Chicago. It seems like authentic italian food and appears to be family owned and run. On this trip the Bruschetta was delicious, the rigatoni with arrabiatta was great as well. I got a half portion of pasta, which was plenty with the appetizer. My daughter's pizza was slightly delayed and they offered us... More

I found Volare on TripAdvisor prior to my trip and quickly put it on my list of restaurants to visit. It was such a nice restaurant; the food was perfect and simply the best Italian food I have had. I especially liked the black spaghetti with seafood. Everything was perfect except our waitress. She rushed us from the beginning and... More
