We were excited to try Roy's so Sunday we headed in around 6pm. We were told they were booked out but room outside or in the bar area. We chose the bar. The Staff are very friendly and nice. The Mia Tia is too sweet the Ginger with blackberries is yummy. We had a bit of a wait for food.... More

This restaurant is a hidden gem. I had the best sushi rolls here. The food was incredibly good and the presentation was fabulous to boot. Our server was very attentive and friendly. He made certain our orders were spaced out perfectly. Very enjoyable atmosphere too. I most definitely recommend this restaurant... if you're in the area this is a must... More

I discovered Roy's in Maui and since then hit 2 more Roy's in the Hawaiian Islands and eventually Roy's in Anaheim, Las Vegas and Chicago. What I love about Roy's are the friendliness and the "can do" attitude of the staff as well as the vegetarian food. The food is uniformly excellent and it seems that the portions are bigger... More

Roy's was my go to seafood restaurant since I moved to the Midwest from Massachusetts. Chicago was all about Steak and Italian restaurants when I moved here from the east coast more than 15 years ago. So when I craved for seafood, other than sushi (and sometimes even for sushi), this is where I went. Been awhile since I went... More

My partner and I really did not know what we wanted to eat but looked through some reviews on TripAdvisor and thought we wanted seafood so we selected Roy's not only to be amazed at how good the sushi selection was for starters. We tried three on the menu and then had for dessert the coffee and donuts. Great dinner... More

Roy's delivers great seafood, excellent service and overall special experience. We started with the coconut crusted tiger shrimp as well as the canoe boat - tremendous flavor a must try. I had the butterfish which was outstanding - fresh, tender with baby bok choy and furikake rice. Others had the sea scallops and ahi tuna - all prepared perfectly and... More

I love this restaurant. The food atmosphere and service is excellent. The seafood is amazing and so fresh. I love to sit at the chefs table so you can see what is going on in the kitchen and the chefs chat to you. I can recommend the Butterfish which has an amazing flavour and texture. Leave some room for the... More

A few of our party had been to Roy's before but 6 years earlier so we didn't know what to expect. Everything on the menu looked awesome so we had a hard time deciding what to choose! I was trying to decide between the Mahi Mahi and the Salmon and the waitress suggested to go for the Trio (butterfish, salmon... More

Wonderful seafood, drinks, and of course, dessert. Go early for Aloha hour, put in you order for the chocolate soufflé when you order your meal, and order the butterfish. You will NOT be disappointed.

We recently visited Roy's again and were not disappointed, this is one of our favorite Chicago restaurants. The decor is beautiful, the service is great, if you go at a busy time and don't have a reservation, you can try to find a table in the bar without waiting and can order from the regular menu. Try the Roy's trio,... More
