OMG! Last went to their old location. Small, dirty, but great Banh Mi! Now clean, elegant, and over 30 "French Sandwich" choices! Buy 5 get one free! Since we were taking them back to Indy we got 5+1 each of the Special, Chicken, BBQ Pork, Sautéed Shrimp and Beef Rib Eye!! Fantastic! Unfortunately I do not eat pork or beef!... More

Cool interesting sandwich shop. Unique combos of tastes. Plus it's a grocery with interesting stuff. Not really French, except for the Maroons. Cheap, good food.

Great place for an affordable yet exotic sandwich. The french bread is just right, crispy on the outside and chewy inside. The fillings are fresh and there is tons of variety from pork belly to vegetarian. They also have strange looking fried snacks in the warmer that are delicous. I tried a fried shrimp dumpling on a sugar cane stick,... More

its a simple no nonsense inexpensive location to have a good sandwich. The Bread is incredible, crusty on the outside, soft on the inside, the meats are delicious. I am not a fan of Pate, so I ask them to make mine without Pate, the ingredients are incredibly fresh and the sandwich is not huge to fill me up like... More

Ummm, we're talking about an inexpensive, fresh, and flavorful French/Vietnamese sandwich that is actually addicting. I can't say much other than if you haven't tried one of the twelve varieties, you're missing out on something GOOD!

Great unique flavors, great prices, you can definitely pig out on delicious vietnamese sandwiches without breaking the bank. There are many ones to choose from, so try two!

I came here with my boyfriend after my mother read about it in a magazine. We both ordered the Vegetarian Avocado sandwiches, and our conceptions of what "food" is were revolutionized. The flavors worked together in ways we never could have imagined... The warm, crunchy baguette, the vinegary jalapenos, the fresh cilantro, the meaty tofu, the creamy avocado... We both... More

I go here regularly when I am need of a great inexpensive sandwich or some spring rolls. I have never been disappointed and would recommend this little restaurant to anyone. You can sit down and eat here but really its a sandwich joint for take out. In the area there are plenty of more traditional sit down restaurants but none... More

This is a great find - the new location is a bit too modern for me but it accomodates the crowds and the new kitchen does allow for a wider variety of hot sandwiches so why should I complain! It's just not as cozy feeling that's why! However the sandwiches are always excellent - our favorties are: #10 the Chinese... More

We first heard about Ba Le on " WTTW's Check Please!" and decided to check it out. Its located in Uptown- conveniently located steps from the redline Argyle stop. Upon entering the restaurant- we were greeted by the intoxicating smell of freshly baked baguettes- always a good thing! I ordered the classic #1 Ba Le sandwich which was out of... More
