Great spot and excellent food.

Located right on a plaza in Lincoln Square, Selmarie is a fun spot for people watching and enjoying European-style foods. In nice weather, the outdoor dining is a must. The food is very good if a tad pricey but it's worth it for the destination

Spend a nice day strolling along the many shops in Lincoln Square. Stop off for a light lunch at Sel Marie. They have a very good bakery in the restaurant. We always have to take home a box of their cookies, which don't stay around long

This place was highly recommended by our family from Chicago, so we came here for brunch. The food was amazing, I could have eaten everything on the menu, it took ages to choose! We all thoroughly enjoyed our choices, and the food was served quite quickly. The decor is nice, and the staff were very friendly and efficient. We also... More

Fresh salads, subtle breakfasts, and a lovely bakery make Cafe Selmarie a great spot if you're in the neighborhood. Service is a little spotty, but it's a busy spot and employees here are friendly.

Their quiche was quite good but needed a little pepper. The pineapple coconut cake was above average once it warmed to room temperature, and if you enjoy expresso cookie this is the place for you. The service was good but the tables are close and the dining area is very noisy.

Three of us stopped in for lunch here on a Monday while en route from O'Hare to Lawrence and Sheridan. Luckily, we managed to find street parking on Lincoln right by the restaurant although there are other city parking lots if the street itself is full. Two of us had the salmon club sandwich while my wife had the pork... More

Great atmosphere both outside and inside the cafe. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit even though it was busy. Only had to wait 15 mins for a table even though it was 1030 am on a Saturday. Food was great - varied menu. Both our options were delicious. Their hashbrowns were small cut, crisp on the outside and... More

When my partner and I visit my brother in Chicago, we make Café Selmarie a priority for dinner. The menu is creative and the cuisine is always flavorful and very well prepared. Make sure to visit Café Selmarie for a great meal or stop by their bakery for delicious pastries.

I enjoy this cafe for brunch, lunch or a 'to go' cup of coffee and a bakery treat. I have never been disappointed. Delicious blend of coffee from Intelligentsia available to purchase in bean or ground. The pumpkin spice hot cakes are oh so delicious! Good size side of bacon (4 slices) that really comes crisp when requested. Large variety... More

Awesome little restaurant and bakery in the heart of Lincoln Square. Sit outside and enjoy whatever entertainment is happening in the little square - music, clowns, jugglers, etc. Great service and really great food. Hard to walk past the bakery case without picking something up. I had the brussel sprout salad with salmon, and my husband had the fried chicken... More
