Have been here a few times. Very good pub grub, friendly staff. Lots of nice booths, tables both high and low, garden area in the back. A good place for an afternoon beer. Our last visit was on a Tuesday, about 4pm. There was a very nice conversational buzz. Nice to hum along with the music..Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young;... More

We stopped here on a visit to Chicago. The food is still amazing. Great bloody mary! Amazing chicken pot pie and meatloaf dinner. However, service is slipping. We were seated and our order taken. We then noticed that our waitress was the bartender. I could see that our food was on the counter in the kitchen ready to be served... More

We arrived for a show at the Mercury a bit early so decided to grab a bite to eat at Cullen's. While I thought they could have enhanced their Irish menu options, we opted to quick American fare - cheesy artichoke dip and a bbq chicken salad. The food was extremely good, something I don't often say of pub food.... More

Take the kids, bring granny. There is something here for everybody. Can be very crowded on nights when there is a play next door at the Mercury Theater.

People who work here are actually from Ireland. A great neighborhood/family spot. Typical Irish bar food menu done well. It's cozy and welcoming.

I would say the burgers are pretty much average, as I tried the burger with avocado and blue cheese. It was a bit goppy, and hard to eat, and the meat kind of frozen patty like. So next time I would pass on the burger. My friend had a good salad, and enjoyed it. Service was friendly. We sat outside... More

My family and I have been going to Cullen's for years and for good reason. The food is consistently tasty, the wait staff is always friendly and attentive and the ambience is great whether you're accompanied by your wife and kids or visiting college buddies. I like to say that after your second visit, you'll feel like a regular. That... More

Went here to kill time before a show at the Mercury. We didn't eat but the guy at the bar next to me got a side of peas with his fish and chips, a good sign. It was nice to see a mix of families, young couples and singles, this looks like a local neighborhood place. Beer selection is ok,... More
