Family members brought me here for dinner, was absolutely delighted with the Chicago Diner! Everything from service, menu selections, great tasting food was excellent. Our table ordered the Radical Reuben, Bacon Burger, and Gyro, we were all pleased with the portions and taste. I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant! Plus, they have opened a second location. Yay!

My husband and I were staying at the Majestic hotel, so it was only a short walk to Chicago Diner--we chose it because of that and because it is near the top of the Tripadvisor list. Let me preface this by saying, my husband is a meat-eating, semi-rugged Pittsburgh kind of guy, who does usually try anything (I definitely give... More

3 out of the 4 of us who went are all vegetarians! Chicago Diner was a great find and a fun experience trying new things! This was our first time there and had a great breakfast! The french toast was wonderful with a great fruity sauce on top! The waiter was very informative and even offered for us to try... More

Stopped in with 8 of our closest friends...many are not Vegetarians. Everything on the menu was wonderful...Althought the Eggs Benedict was not what we thought. Ah well...Everything else was wonderful. We'll be back...Great service. The staff was there for our every whim...Thanks. You have made new friends.

I am not vegan but I thoroughly enjoyed "the radical Reuben"! The selection was huge, the portions were generous and the price was right. We purchased the cookbook to enjoy the food at home. We will definitely return.

I am a food lover. I love veggie, kosher, meaty and soulful delights. Chicago diner is a favorite. We spend plenty of time in the land of POP and best hot dog relish, my hometown. Well almost, Poland came first but I was too young to remember. My sister lives there and she is a vegan so we always visit... More

This is one of the pillars of vegetarian life in Chicago. Great and creative food and dishes. Very nice staff. Sometime it gets a little too crowded, and definitely going to have a line/wait at popular eating days/times

Just reading the menu here is fun! There aren't many places where a vegetarian can order anything on the menu-- no reading the small print or asking "is that vegetable soup made with chicken broth?" The food is always well conceived and tasty. The down side is that the place is small and not very comfortable unless you are lucky... More

Every time I'm in Chicago, I pay a visit to the Chicago Diner, sometimes 2 or 3 visits if I'm in the city for several days or more. I am not vegan or vegetarian, but one of my two teenage children is, and this restaurant is a gem my family of four enjoy! Every brunch, lunch, dinner & dessert I've... More
