Throw back feel with good food

Decided on this place as it was close to the running store and we didn't have time to venture to some other places I had wanted to try. Friday afternoon about 2:00 and just a 15 folks inside sitting at the bar and a few tables. The inside is so old world, senior citizen-like (in a good way) I... read more

Had dinner here early on a Thursday evening with my daughter. The beer is enormous! A small draft was plenty. The band was already playing and a mix of families and older folks were enjoying themselves. Our waitress was attentive, kind and hilarious! We ordered from the specials menu. I had venison goulash that was delicious. I would definitely go... More

We went to Brathaus to recuperate from a disastrous evening at another German restaurant. The rooms were kitschy in the way most Americans expect from a German restaurant to look, but not claustrophobic. I spent most time In Germany in Munich, so it all looked familiar. All the dishes were well made, traditional, hearty. We had the schnitzel, roulade, the... More

Strongly recommend to make reservations. Food is fantastic, at least our food was when we came. The meat just came of the bone and could cut it with a fork. The liver soup was delicious and my wife also really liked the cabbage soup and she's not a cabbage lover. For desert we split a German chocolate cake and it... More

It's very German, with boots of beer, big pretzels, liver dumpling soup, schnitzel, and sausages galore! The atmosphere is loud and fun with dancing to the oompah band and big families celebrating! We always go to Brauhaus for the fun!

There were 4 of us. Each was more than happy with their selections of food AND beer. Their soups are wonderful. Their 3-meat meatloaf is very tasty. Their sausage plate is perfect.......balanced and flavorful. Their spaetzal was a little different.......shaped more like a pasta than small "droplets". But the flavor was there. We would recommend this place for good German... More

Happy 50th birthday this year to the Brauhaus. Has a very authentic feel and atmosphere. The menu is excellent and highly traditional. The beer selection, whilst small, is all Deutsch bier! As Michael Fassbender says in X-men...... Bitburger.... Das bestest! Go to the Brauhaus, it's fun!

Nice late Saturday lunch. Both my pork and bacon and my wife's veal sausages were very good. Here German potatoes were also excellent. Service a bit slow, traditional atmosphere was nice, Took a while to realize the older gentleman was human, not a stature, and that he was playing an electronic accordion.

Love this place - Saw it on Diver's Diners & Dives and had to visit! We had a table of 10 and they were very accomodating - infact, we stayed for several hours and still hated to leave! *Make reservations 2 weeks in advance! This isn't a modern restaurant - it is a homey, old-time gem. German beers, nice bar.... More

Overall a great place. I will definitely visit again. I would recommend staying with the classic German food items. I ordered a plate of sausages and German potatoes and it was fantastic. However, my daughters rib eye steak, was good but I am pretty sure it came with canned peas--yuck. My wife's Rueben, I am pretty sure again, was not... More
