Good food, good choices, long wait (on the weekends)

I've been to this location of Wishbone Restaurant, on the corner of Lincoln & School, several times for breakfast when I've visited Chicago. It has good, fresh food with a variety of good choices that most restaurants don't have such as real maple syrup (extra charge for real syrup but it's worth... read more

Went here for a late lunch and had the beef brisket sandwich. Very tasty BBQ sauce and the meat was very good. The cole slaw and the mashed sweet potatoes were also very tasty. The server was personable and attentive.

Since we moved this is our goto restaurant for brunch/breakfast on the weekends. The place is always packed so expect roughly 30 minutes wait time. The meals are very good and the service is fast. During the week they have a limited menu (eg. Eggs Benedict missing).

This place has a following because of Oprah back in the day. Its good but nothing all that special. The food is good, the service is good, but nothing you cannot get at most diners. I like that they have a kids free area in the back for that breakfast when you want to have a drink and dont want... More

the southern girl in me comes out every time I go to this place. Amazing brunch and good dinner. Almost anything southern that your heart (or stomach) desires is at this place. To name a few: cheese grits, blackened catfish (available for breakfast or dinner), several Cajun inspired breakfast dishes, super delicious hot chocolate, great service, etc. I strongly recommend... Amazingly broad breakfast menu. All the usuals done well plus things like shrimp and grits and the North Carolina crab cakes, which I ate. Large restaurant used to managing large numbers efficiently and cheerfully. Great food served quickly.

Wishbone is my go to breakfast spot when I want quick friendly service, great southern cooking and a nice mimosa to start my day. I’ve been to both Wishbone locations in Chicago and I favor the Lincoln location, it’s bigger and the décor is nicer. I’ve had everything on their menu from the Jambalaya Omelet to the Shrimp and Grits... More

I love this place - it not only allows families and their rambunctious children to dine here, it throw its arms open and welcomes us. This place is so great for anyone who has young kids as they can make noise and it blends into the noise of all the other children there. I feel relaxed as a parent dining... More
