Coffee was not a favorite, but service was good and food was delicious! 2 eggs scrambled with a side of fresh fruit and 2 cinnamon rolls. Very reasonably priced. Recommend highly and I'll be back on my next visit.

I had heard about Ann Sather from Food Network/Cooking Channel and wanted to give it a try when my husband and I were in Chicago. When we first walked in, I thought we were going to have to wait an hour for a table. Not at all. We were seated immediately. As crowded and as popular as the place was... More

We had been to the original Ann Sather in Lakeview several times, the last one having been for a children's birthday party many years ago. It so happened that it was another birthday party that brought us back to the North Side of Chicago and Ann Sather, this time further north in Andersonville. The service was friendly and the staff... Great American style breakfast with some healthy options too. Get the cinnamon rolls as a side and their cottage style potato with cheese on it! The coffee is good. Be patient with the service. There is also seating upstairs!

We stoppedby here for breakfast in this Swedish area of Chicago (Andersonville). We both had the Swedish sampler which is huge, starting with 2 big cinnamon rolls. The platter has Swedish pancakes with lingonberrry, a large Swedish meat ball, potato sausage eaten with spic brown mustard, and an egg of your choice. Food was very good and reasonbly priced for... Stopped here for breakfast. Service was good and the food was excellent. Try the Swedish Pancakes with Lingon Berries and/or Cinnamon Roll. Prices were affordable too.

There are four Ann Sather restaurants in Chicago--and nowhere else. I've only been to the original one in Lakeview, which is conveniently located just next to the Belmont (red) EL, and this one, but they were well worth it. I liked both because they have wonderful frescoes on the walls of Scandinavian fairy tales. Ann Sather bought the business from... More

We've been here once or twice, but I clearly forgot how amazing the cinnamon rolls are. My 3 year old was sick and terribly whiny, and I am still glad we went. As others have said, the service was a little slow. The rest of the food was very good, but I could have just eaten the rolls and been... More

Ann Sather offers a large menu of comfort food with a Scandinavian accent. Everything is at least good and you certainly will not go away hungry. Everyone has a comment about the cinnamon rolls. I would call them orgasmic. Breakfast stuff is probably minimally better than lunch. Nice varieties of Eggs Benedict. Swedish platter is ultimate comfort for this old... More
