Allium continues to uphold the Hotel’s trademark of exemplary, engaging service in a new relaxed atmosphere, making it the ultimate Chicago gathering place. Allium’s seasonal menu focuses on sustainable ingredients. Vegetables drive the ever-evolving menu, sourced both from local farmers and the Hotel’s own rooftop garden. Calm, elegant, comfortable high quality dining

Let me start by mentioning this is an unusual find, in that it is quiet and elegant, and also very comfortable. Sort of like a high class living room with great food! We had the distinctive cheese lavash bread to start, a sorta rich but delightful starter. Then we shared the brussels sprouts... read more

Very quiet evening (it's hot in Chicago and many people apparently chose to dine al fresco). Nice table by a window. We started with two straight up martinis which were shaken at the table - and shaken the way we like them: viciously. Generously sized. For dinner we chose a series of small plates. Our cheese lavosh came on its... More

These guys have a fantastic lighter breakfast menu. The food was fantastic and I didn't feel deprived. I wish I could find more breakfast menus like this when I'm out of town.

We arrived early, so the restaurant was fairly empty which really amplified the beauty of the high wooden walls, the intricate seating, and the lobby level skyview. The restaurant itself is quite beautiful and well worth it any trip to Chicago. We tried tuna tartare for the first time here as an appetizer – made with hearts of palm, Yuzu,... More

Don't be fooled by the fact that this is a hotel restaurant. I've had dozens of dinners in Chicago and my dinner at Allium was one of the best. I had duck, which was extremely tasty, and my wife, who is a vegetarian, had four of the amazing sides for her dinner. The brussels sprout and apple salad was also... More

I can't say enough good things about this place. The service was exquisite and the food was delicious! I had a Manhattan and the Gnocchi and I also tried the chicken that my coworker was having. This is a great place to unwind after a long work day. Very peaceful.

I was actually looking forward to eating at this restaurant in the Four Seasons in Chicago - however, all three meals I had here were sub-par - mostly as a result of the poor design of the restaurant (tables are literally on top on one another - forget trying to have any privacy) and the unbelievably poor service. If I... More

With excellent service, a quiet room with spacious tables, this is a great choice if you're staying at the Four Seasons Hotel. The bar makes excellent cocktails (I loved my martini), our server was attentive and helpful and everything we ate was quite good, including a terrific peeky-toe salad with a fresh pea puree! Although we didn't try it, there... More

My bf and I are amateur foodies, so every time we are in a new city, we look for at least one restaurant that will wow our taste buds. Bonus points for environment, great waitstaff, etc. In Chicago, Allium was definitely my favorite place we ate. The view of outside from our window table was lovely, the server was professional... Allium, is in the lobby level of the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago's Gold Coast. It is a unique restaurant in many ways: the decor is subdued and tastefully done, the atmosphere is pleasing and the sound level mild, (uncommon in many Chicago restaurants these days.) Thanks to the arrival of a new and young chef, the food is tasty.... More
