The staff were very welcoming on this first visit to this Japanese restaurant not far from the "Division" subway station. This restaurant set on a corner has a warm feel about it and would be ideal for a romantic candle lit Japanese meal. The Teri Yaki chicken I had was delicious with a nice sauce. Of course, there is sushi... More

We love Sea dog for birthday celebrations. It has great sushi selection and BYOB combination at affordable prices, which you could not easily beat. You would need a reservation, if it is a weekend night. I would not say sushi is the best in town, but there is a reason, why the place has a Michelin rating.

I went here with my roommates. We had a reservation and were seated early. The sushi was great; creative, fresh, and reasonably priced. Our waiter was of a similar caliber: he was friendly, prompt and gave great suggestions for my new-to-sushi roomies. We had a great time, it is BYOB so make sure you come prepared! Will return!

I am shocked to see all the 5 star reviews for this place. Here is the deal, it is a good restaurant, but it is a standard Chicago Sushi restaurant. Nothing unique here in anyway shape or form. The best thing about it is the outside patio during the summer but otherwise throw this in the list of other reliable... More

The sushi here is top rate, with unusual flavor combinations that wow the palate. BYOB and the staff will uncork and serve your drinks.

Fantastic dinner last night with my wife and two kids. We had theater tickets at the Chopin Theater so I was looking for someplace for us to eat nearby that looked interesting. It was simple to get in at 5:30pm, of course, but the place filled up as we ate. We were seated at a delightful table for four in... More

Enough said, grab a bottle of vino and enjoy the patio which at night is beautifully lit, it is very intimate. Our server was great, she catered to my son BIG TIME. The rolls are not too pretentious or mayonnaise-y.

The decor of this restaurant was nice and modern. The food however was not very good. The rice ball of the sushi was mushy and way too big. The tempura batter was brown instead of pale off white color. The miso soup was really salty. I don't think I will return to this restaurant.

I love Seadog - and I've now taken two sets of out of town guests there....to wild acclaim! It's a great spot. There are plenty of options for those who don't enjoy sushi - and great sushi options for those who want to get their raw meat on... Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area (or if you're... We were looking for apartments and stopped by for dinner. The sushi was some of the best I've had with interesting innovations - and the spicy Alaskan king crab was actually spicy. The seafood soup was delicious. The only downside is that like most Japanese restaurants they never have honey for the tea. The Jasmine tea was excellent.
