Loved this place! I think is a little pricey but food was really, really good. I love Mediterranean Cuisine, usually I will have the Lebanese version of many of the dishes, for example the creams like Tzatziki, Hummus, or roasted eggplant. Well we were a large group so we ordered a lot of options to try, my favorite were theTzatziki... More

I have to say, I had high expectations of this place after having been to Greece and having heard good things. But this place fell short of expectations. While the meal was good, I'd say for the price and for the terrible service, I'd rather head to Parthenon in Greek town. We sat for at least 20 minutes before someone... More

Really good food served in broken plates. What's up with that!!! But overall great service and great ambience. Octopus is a must. I found it a little expensive but it was worth. They have great food but should buy new plates.

We were visiting Chicago a couple of weeks ago and decided on Greek cuisine for Friday night dinner. Since reviews of Taxim were quite positive, we decided to give it a try. We were so glad we did. The waitress was extremely helpful in guiding our selections. There were two of us, and we ordered three small plates to share.... More

This is the best authentic Greek food I've tasted outside of Greece. The offerings are often based on traditional home-cooked dishes. And the wines are amazing. They are limited production wines produced by artisan winemakers, and this restaurant is the only place in the US where you can buy several of them.

We had a very nice dinner at this greek restaurant. This was great greek food in buck town/ wicker park area! We had duck tacos wrapped in phyllo dough ( a new take on tacos than I've had before) and we had the octopus which was well grilled with lots of veggies. I don't know much about greek wine, but... have dined at Taxim many times with friends and family even had carry out a few times and the food has been consistently amazing. Being from Greece we are usually a bit strict when it comes to assesing greek restaurants, here every dish is a win win and we have tried just about everything. Traditional dishes have been upgrated with... More

Had dinner here with friends on June 22, 2014. Being Greek, I've had Greek food all my life. However....this restaurant, courtesy of its innovative and creative owner, takes traditional Greek cuisine to a whole new level by adding new combinations, new tastes, new sauces, and providing very renditions of classic recipes. The meal was most reasonably priced--under $140 for our... More

The location is very pretty. You can try a very good lamb and chicken. The waiter was really nice and kind with us. We listened good Greek music. If you like Mediterranean foods that's the right place to go.
