Great location. We would go back.

The Bridge House Tavern is located right on the river (boats can dock). It is a really nice location with plenty of outdoor seating. It was a Saturday afternoon and we had the brunch menu available. I had the steak and eggs. It was a nice strip steak and flavorful though a bit overcooked. We... read more

While walking the riverfront in Chicago, I found this restaurant to put up my feet and have some cold adult beverages. The view was wonderful. I sat at the bar looking out over the river watching the boats come and go. The pretty people all had wrangled seats on the riverside patio. The people watching was therefore also fun. The... More

If you're looking to have a scenic view during your meal, definitely consider dining at Bridge House Tavern. The construction project across the river is further along this summer and the views have improved drastically. Aside from the view, the menu offers delicious options. We tried the huevos rancheros (tasty) and nutella and banana french toast (very sweet - I'd... More

After a casual stroll on the river walk, the Bridge House Tavern was a perfect spot for watching boats and eating fabulous food. The wait for outdoor tables was about 45 min, so we decided to just take an indoor table that was actually next to a beautiful window, so we had a great view. I had the chicken sandwich... More

This place is in a great location right by the water, couches and heaters included. The menu looks fantastic, but we only got an appetizer. It was too bad we weren't hungry because the food looked great, like most Chicago food, but we will hit this place again to eat!

Our first night in Chicago, and after doing a lot of Trip Advisor research, we decided on Bridge House Tavern due to it's close proximity to The Wit where we were staying. So glad we did! Unfortunately the weather wasn't warm enough to sit on the patio as it has a wonderful view of the water. But no worries, the... More

Went here for brunch with a couple of friends this past weekend. The food wasn’t out-of-this world fabulous, but it was pretty good. We had the Bridge House Benedict (nice, but the Hollandaise sauce wasn’t great…get it on the side), the Wicked Tots (better in theory than in actuality), and the Pig Trio Biscuits & Gravy (massive, with excellent gravy).... My husband and I discovered this gem using "Open Table" -- loved the experience of wandering in on a Thursday evening - super hungry, I might add - to find a table available, friendly staff and very delicious food! Co-Owner, Ryan, was doing his job well...meeting and greeting and chatting us up. We had a few appetizers, a salad and... More

Went for the first time last night to BHT. I go their early and they had our table waiting for us. I had a signature Old Fashioned which was terrific. For starters we had the pretzels and a dozen oysters that were to die for - half a dozen east coast, half a dozen west. For entrees we selected fish... More
