Food good but too loud like a "marketplace"

Well. We loved the food but felt we got ripped off on the wine. The waiter asked us for our drink order. We said a chianti. By the time we had each 2 glasses it cost us $58. When we got the bill i asked the waiter you should have suggested we get a bottle. How much was a bottle?... More

We showed up for dinner at the River North Chicago location on Christmas Day. The place was jumping. Lots of people, lots of buzz. It was the Feast of the Seven Fishes, and while we did not order this meal - huge plate stacked with seafood - we did manage very well with the regular entree selections. I had a... More

It was a Saturday and for some unexplained reason the waiter was overwhelmed. The small room was not full when we arrived. My husband's order took about 30 minutes to arrive. My order never arrived because the waiter never turned it in. After my husband was half through with his food, I asked about my order and the waiter said... More

We stayed at the Marriott attached to this restaurant while @ RSNA. The food here was great! We had breakfast here every morning, the service was good and the food great! It was a little pricey for breakfast ($8 for a fruit plate) but downtown Chicago is expensive. The Eggs Benedict were fantastic, almost as good as blue heaven in... More

I was here with six other women for a celebration dinner - this was the first time I had ever eaten here. I loved the fact that we could order several dishes and they were served family style and meant to be shared. We all ordered a dish that looked appealing to each of us and there was more than... Good, not excellent, Italian food in a nice comfortable and relaxed environment. The service was more outstanding than the food.

This a great neighborhood restaurant serving authentic Italian. What else would I expect on Taylor Street. Hank was our waiter and he did an excellent job of helping us make food decisions. There are different kinds of specials each day of the week. Some are food, some are cocktails and Wednesdays they have bottle of wine specials. Even though the... More

I picked this place off the internet because of all the good reviews - and it did not disappoint. My husband said he'd go back there on our next visit as well. Who knew that cauliflower could be so good! Also, the wait staff was amazing. Attentive without being intrusive - a hard balance to make. Wish we had one... More

Had a great meal here one night and came back the next. Who knew my 11 year old would love polenta with a thick bolognese sauce. But why wouldn't he - it was delicious, fun to eat and big enough to share. They also make a great cacio e pepe pasta which is hard to find on menus. Its simply... More
