Great hearty food & service

A great place in the JW Marriott. A lot better than the normal restaurant in a Marriott hotel. Very open, airy with a dark wooden design. Big bar in the middle of the restaurant with excellent food service. Food here is very good, both breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have stayed at the hotel many... read more

The food was very good for a hotel. The service was great and the ambience was nice. The wine list was a surprise and then when we got 1/2 price bottles (April 15th Tax Day Promotion) it made it easy to oder a 2006 Cain Five to go with my filet.

Met a work colleague for breakfast and had some ups and downs. Chicken sausage was dry, but the breakfast potatoes are fantastic. My colleague had the quiche and enjoyed it. The waitress was super chatty and kept interrupting us with stories about herself. It made for a long meal.

We returned to the hotel later than expected and were still desiring dinner. The staff directed us to the Florentine on the second floor. While we didn't have reservations, we were promptly seated and waited on be a very professional server. The food was wonderful, the service was fantastic, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The entire meal greatly exceeded... More

Located in the JW Marriott hotel near the theater district, this is an outstanding restaurant that should be better known. We were staying at the JW Marriott and had two meals there. To clarify, there is "the lounge" in the lobby, a more informal version of the restaurant that is mainly bar and bar snacks and pizza and a nicer... More

Really nice restaurant in the JW Marriott hotel. Been there 4-5 times and generally very good food. Down to earth kind of a place. Excellent bar with great food service there. Very good eggs for breakfast.

I wish to express my gratitude to all the staff of The Florentine. I spent 2 weeks in JW Marriott and it was my choice of place for breakfast but also lunch and some diners. Staff is professional and you feel unic each time you come. However, breakfast service is from my point of view is more "client-orientated". The menu... More

Great food and drink specials at the bar for Happy Hour. Service was exceptional. Enjoyed my food a lot and liked the vibe in there -- didn't feel like a typical hotel restaurant. Definitely worth a visit.

We ate here two mornings while staying at the hotel. Their breakfast was awesome. We had the omelet one morning. It came with potatoes and greens. Another morning we did eggs, bacon, again it came with potatoes and greens. Coffee was great and the english muffin so tastey. Wished we could have had dinner here but it didn't work out.

The space is great. Beautiful bar. Menu is limited though. Not a basic dish on the menu. I had to ask to create an antipasto. Also had to ask for other pizza options as they only had 1 on menu with brussel sprouts. The food was good. Not great. Chicago has better options. Service was very good though.
