The food is bland and overpriced. The server screwed up drink and good orders. The appetizers were cold. The place was fairly crowded and noisy. Staff seems aloof and slow. We will not eat there again. Very disappointing!

As former Chicagoans, we're very familiar with this local restaurant which has many locations. They all aren't created equal! The food at this location never disappoints and the value is unbelievable! I ordered tilapia ($23) which wasn't just a piece of fish, it had spinach and other things that were wonderful! Ask for the "al funghi" preparation--my favorite! The staff... More

My wife and I ate here on a Friday night. It is a trendy, vibrant, somewhat noisy, Italian restaurant just east of the Prudential building. Our server was reasonably prompt; the bussers were amazingly efficient. I very much enjoyed my pasta, which came as a very large portion. It was delicious. Remarkably disappointing was my wife's Margarita pizza. The toppings... More

This will be a fairly quick review because there is not much to say. Francesca is a very good Italian restaurant with impeccable service and a very nice atmosphere. We were by no mean blown away, but had a very nice evening. All dishes were cooked to perfection and very tasty. Pricing was very reasonable considering the quality of the... More

Francesca's is a tradition for us. We enjoy the high quality food and fine service. We're thrilled that they now offer half portions of their pasta. When we travel, we don't need leftovers! Great evening with consistent service and food.

Were last night at Francesca's on Chestnut. Decent food but nothing to write home about. Stay away from the mussels, they were super dry. Have been at two of their other restaurants in the Chicagoland area and they somehow all taste the same and have nothing to do with real Italian food.

I was very happy with the service and the menu for this Sunday Brunch. I ended up choosing from the regular menu and tried an amazing salad with hearts of palm, tomatoes, black olives and covered in a vinegarette. Delicious. My main course was hot noodles covered with a cold sauce of tomatoes, onions, olives chopped finely. Very tasty. I... More

Our hotel concierge sent us to Francesca's. We went twice. The atmosphere is fun, noisy, trendy, relaxed. The food is really good and the wines just fine. The staff know what they are selling. We were not disappointed and will go back! The turnover is quick. We had no reservation but got a table right away both times. Peple come... More

Francesca's is a good, basic Italian restaurant located in the Watertower area. Menu is varied and the entrees were very good. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. Pasta's were well cooked and tasty. Wine list was also varied and reasonably priced. There is a wine bar located in the restaurant, but it was closed the night we dined due to... More

Ok, our meals were excellent, maybe my pasta was a little more al dente than I would have liked, but overall meals were very good...paid for our drinks at the bar, only to have the server charge us again at the table, our dinner was also served before the anti pasto...so there was that...it was hot, crowded, live music was...
