Relaxing, Great Food , Good Value!

In February a group of ten went to Francesca's on a Sunday night for dinner. The atmosphere is fine and comfortable. The service, food and wine was very good and at a reasonable price point. The "Skate" was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed by a few at our table that had never had the opportunity to... read more

We went here after many recommendations. We all ordered various pasta dishes. They were just that, bowls of pasta. Nothing special. The sevice was just ok. We asked for lemons three times and they never came. We were a party of 6 and they acted as if we were putting them out. When they asked if we wanted drinks and... More

We arrived and it took over 10 minutes to get a drink order. Service for dinner was just as slow. The food itself was so-so. The pasta with broccoli showed very little broccoli. The lobster pasta was tasty. The seafood pasta was okay.

If you're not traveling solo, this is a great place to get a very good deal. Food is amazing and served in large portions. You can easily split a dish among 2-3 people. Also- they have great GF options and actually know how to cook pasta. Would highly recommend their Italian sausage pasta as well as their calamari appetizer.

We had a very good meal, great service, and a lovely ambience at this restaurant. Very nice. I would definitely recommend, and will return if I'm in Chicago.

Thanks to our hotel staffs recommendation, we chose to have dinner at Francesca's last night and we were so glad we did. I love salmon and my roasted salmon with wild mushrooms, fresh tomatoes, and a leek cream sauce was one of the best dishes I have ever had. My better half thoroughly enjoyed her roasted Mahi Mahi with calamari,... More

My wife and I chose this restaurant off the list of recommended restaurants provided by our nearby hotel. We chose well! The service was attentive and personal. The drinks were interesting and tasty. The menu had a blend of standards with plenty of more unusual offerings to entice. My wife and I enjoyed an excellent meal, and it did not... More

We had dinner at Francesca's the week-end before Christmas. We had reservations and were seated true to our designated time. The food and service were excellent. Our only complaint was the noise level! It was very hard to hear anyone other than the person sitting next to you. The restaurant was very busy, as I would hope it would be,... More

Found this cozy place looking on Yelp for an Italian restaurant near The Drake where we were staying. A quick 5 minute walk just a few blocks away. Had rezzies and arrived a little early and they tried to cram us into one of those little 2 tops that are literally 6 inches away on either side of another 2... More

We arrived at this restaurant at 3:15 and our food arrived at 4:30. With only two tables ahead Of us, we were curious as to what had happened. Lo and behold, the chef had lost our order according to the waiter. Our recompense, tiramisu. Because we had paid with gift cards--too bad. Think twice before you frequent this restaurant!

Staying in Streeterville

Neighborhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
