Good, friendly service and a pretty good burger too.

Visited here and found the staff to be friendly, welcoming and interested in us. Good drinks, some good local beer and the burger was pretty good. Wouldn't hesitate in going back.

it wasn't the greatest meal I've ever had, but it wasn't terrible either. I went here because of the location, but I wouldn't drive across town for it.

You can't fault a convenient restaurant in Chicago that serves good food, nice beers, and doesn't charge too much. This place delivers on its promise. Try papperdelle or duck (or some full-out American comfort food, like baked mac and cheese or meatloaf when they have it). The window seats are pretty nice for watching the river and the people walk... More

I always stop here for at least one meal if I'm staying at the Hard Rock. Its a short walk away and the food is always great and affordable. I really enjoy their steak frites and local beers. They also have a decent amount of TVs if you need to catch a game.

We were weary tourists and just wanted a place close to our hotel. We were so happy that we chose the Sweetwater Tavern & Grille. It was busy and noisy upon entering. Even so, we only had to wait about 30 minutes. We ended up with a booth situated so we could look outside, which was enjoyable. Our server was... More

We stumbled across the Sweetwater while staying in a hotel across the street. Was just looking for some food and a few drinks in a comfortable setting and the Sweetwater exceeded our expectations. The service was prompt and attentive. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The beer menu was extensive. We had the black bean hummus appetizer (yum) and... More

We came for brunch while staying in the city. Absolutely delicious! One of the best breakfasts I've ever had out. Sitting outside did allow my food to get a little cold with the mid-morning winds, though. Still absolutely delicious!

stopped by for lunch on a Saturday. I had the sweetwater burger which I found just average, like I said in the title... not really wow?! I also had the peanut butter dessert, which I also found ok. My wife had the salmon salad and loved it.

I recommend the Sweetwater Tavern & Grille as an after work meeting spot! Small group or large - this is a fun and classy spot! You can take clients and still hear other - you can also relax after a busy day! I ordered a special - a spicy pastrami sandwich (slices of jalapenos) with tater tots! Plenty to eat... More
