My husband and I were looking for a place to watch our beloved Tampa Bay Rays and Los Angeles Angels on a recent trip to Chicago. We happened to pass by Sweetwater and saw the many TVs tuned to baseball, and we knew this was the place! After a five minute wait we were given a booth close to a... More

Came here for the Brazil vs Germany World Cup game. Their draft beer selection is impressive. There were a ton of TVs to watch and the hostess gave us a choice of seats so we could pick the best TV viewing spot. Our server was a really nice guy who had a smile on his face the whole time we... More

We were in Chicago for the weekend just exploring. We wanted to watch the World Cup game and eat lunch. When we first walked in the hostess said there was about a 30 minutes wait (the game was about 15 minutes in). A booth opened up as we were standing there and I asked if we might have it to... More

Good selection of beers on tap and wine. Multiple large TV screens so a great place to catch a game - the staff will try and seat yo near your choice of game. Burgers are exceptional and I love the tater tots instead of fries.

We were at the Hard Rock across the street and wanted a place to have a beer outside, but the streets are so busy. Sweetwater's patio is just below street level, so you feel slightly removed from the action, but your still able to see it. They have a large selection of beers on tap and the food was great... More

We came here for a late lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it! There was a very vibrant/young atmosphere and the service was very quick and friendly. The food was pretty tasty and the prices were reasonable too. Would go back!

We have recently returned home after our third visit to Chicago in four years. We discovered Sweetwater on our first visit to the city in 2011, and have gone back on subsequent trips. Whether it's brunch, lunch or dinner the menu is varied and interesting. We found the staff both attentive and pleasant. During our most recent trip we had... More

Two blocks south of the Chicago River on Michigan Avenue, Sweetwater is a good place for a meal. The menu is pretty extensive, and the burgers were very good. The fact that the place seems to be packed with locals speaks to its quality and value.

This was a nice place for lunch on a warm Saturday in June. We sat outside without problems. The service was a little slow at times, but we were in no hurry, so it worked fine. There were three of us, and we all had different items that we enjoyed. I ordered the red velvet pancakes and was pleasantly surprised... More
