A great choice

I was in town helping to host a small working dinner. We were looking for a place that would have good food and drinks, as well as be conveniently located and not too noisy. Sable was perfect. We had dinner here on our second night in Chicago and were a bit disappointed. The lady at the reception was not friendly at all, the restaurant was freezing (you need to bring a sweater!!!) and the restaurant was so so loud, that you had to yell and couldn't enjoy dinner. The food was nice, cocktails ok... I have seen... More

Probably the best dining experience I've had in a long time. We love the tapas concept so we tried lots of amazing food. Scallops were perfectly cooked and delicious, mac and cheese at a completely new level. We are food snobs and this place satisfied and then some. In Chicago I will certainly eat here again--definitely a must visit.

My girlfriends and I came here for my birthday! It was so great. Wonderful atmosphere, super cocktails and incredible food. Out strategy was to order a few small plates at a time and share. Each dish was amazing. First we had the deviled eggs. Perfect. Then the bacon jam. Wow. Next, the grilled octopus. A little "toothsome" but good flavor.... More

Back to Chicago and back to Sable. Need I say more? It's quickly become one of our family's favorites. Ask for a table by the open kitchen -- it's entertaining and your food is whisked to your table seconds later. Try the Turkey Confit Poutine -- a gourmet thanksgiving in a dish. The short rib sliders were terrific and the... More

We tried Sable for breakfast as we were stayng in thePalomar hotel and were dissappointed. They have tried to put a 'gourmet' flair on every single item on the menu so if one just wants a good basic breakfast to start the day, you might want toook elsewhere. Not sure what they added to the hashbrowns, some kind of creamy... More

Stop here during a Chicago shopping trip. Everything about this place is top-notch, service, location, cocktails, interior, and food. We tried a variety of food items and were very pleased with everything. Cocktails were different and delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I found Sable while on business for a couple of days in Chicago. My colleague and I were hungry but wanted a variety.. I would classify sable Tapas. We ordered smoked trout spread, cheese curds, chicken and waffles and scallops. For dessert we had both the English toffee pudding and the sorbet. I highly recommend Sable as a great spot... More

Sable Kitchen has some of the best cocktails in Chicago. The atmosphere is also good but I do truly go there for the the cocktails. My husband and I both got old fashioned cocktails and they are among the best in Chicago.

Very nice intimate dining experience. Not a large menu but a nice variety of different food. we tried the Barrata salad, pan seared scallops, pork belly flat bread (made with pears and so good), turkey confit and fried chicken thighs. Everything was excellent. Large wine selection to choose from and the bar area is also nice and spacious and just... More
