We were looking for a fun, local venue while in town for a family wedding with only one evening to spend 'on the town'. We loved Sable and were glad we opted for it among the many excellent choices we considered. We had three hungry young adults among our group who promptly ate their way through most of the small... We had Sunday brunch here. The food was really great. We had the Shrimp & Grits, Bourbon Maple Syrup Chicken and Waffles, Bacon-Apple french toast and the truffle deviled eggs. Chicken in the chicken & waffles plate was a little bland- the bourbon syrup was GREAT!. Shrimp & Grits was the best. Everything was great, some of the food is... More

We stayed at the Palomar in Chicago and the Sable had some great reviews so we decided to give it a try. It reminds me of tapas with small plates but very elegant food. We decided order a variety and share. The deviled eggs with truffle oil were delicious. Short Rib sliders are a must order. Pan Seared Scallops were... More

Late afternoon stop by. Great glass of Cabernet, recommended by Alex. Deviled eggs with truffle oil and black trumpet mushrooms--absolutely the best! Asked Manny about the Q7 truffle butter burgers, which he described to a "t" after identifying it as his favorite among the sliders. Pay attention to him, he knows what he's talking about.

We had a nice dinner of sushi and lobster rolls. Dessert was lemon cheesecake and. A toffee bread pudding. Excellent. Also a fun drink menu. The waiter was very good about descriptions and suggestions based on our individual tastes.

Been there twice now, and still have the same feeling. Confusing menu on the exact size of the meal (bites? main?) with no stream line, ranging from french to italian to mexican dishes. Waitress robotically gave us her preference on the menu (which was actually almost HALF the menu!), and therefore wasn't really helpful. Good presentation, but the food underneath... More

I visit Sable fairly frequently and have never been disappointed. The drinks menu is so delicious and innovative, it reflects Mike Ryan's passion for creating fresh masterpieces for the palatte or for bring a twist to some old classics. Just have a look at the current menu if you doubt it: http://www.sablechicago.com/files/menu/menu_76.pdf The kitchen is one of the finest in... More

We had reservations for Sunday Brunch. Our server had some odd mannerisms, and could have been a bit more attentive. The service is what keeps it from being a five star rating. Food: the brunch portions are quite large. We had pork belly and egg sandwiches, truffled deviled eggs, brioche french toast, jelly donuts and a Bloody Mary. The best... More

Danielle our waitress did a remarkable job of making delicious suggestions such as the artichoke flat bread, scallops with chutney, and fettuccini with pancetta. I love small portions so I can try more dishes. Save room for desert. They are delicious. Enjoy!

The half serve of lobster roll extolled by an earlier reviewer was incredibly ordinary: what one would get in a sandwich takeout. The half serve of mussels in a fennel, garlic and chilli broth was pleasant but was initially plated up with six slices of burnt slices of bread. These were replaced on complaint but this is highly unprofessional. Not... More
