The food and service was fantastic. The octopus, pork belly, and flat breads are incredible! The lamb was a little gamey for my taste, but was cooked beautifully. The server was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Dessert was so-so, but their coffee was phenomenal! Two of us had the sticky toffee pudding and they looked like two different batches.... More

Ate here for brunch on Mother's Day with family. The restaurant was not busy- but the service was so terrible that I would never go back nor recommend to anyone. Food- Was good (but not great), if you were given a warm meal. 2 of the 4 meals we ordered were served to us cold. Environment- We were placed next... More

I am honestly sorry to hear about your experience you had here at Sable. We do take these claims very seriously and are always looking to hear if others have had the same experience you did. This is by no means our company's line but my own words of empathy. If you wish to express any other thoughts I would... More

Referred by a friend and glad we took her advice. Turkey confit poutine and deviled eggs were divine starters; generous portions and great flavors. Chicken and waffles were good with the chicken super crisp outside, juicy and perfectly cooked inside and not a drop of grease. Seared scallops had just the right caramelization and a wonderful sauce with a super... More

The first time, my wife and I went for cocktails on a busy Friday. We lucked out and got stools from a couple going to eat at a table. Mony was our bartender and she made us a few cocktails which were really good. I think mine was called Fake Tales of San Francisco (named after the song), and my... More

Jeff, that's so wonderful to hear! Reading about one great experience is always nice but two in one review really makes my day! I will let Pito know about this as well and I'm sure he'll be just as pleased. If you do feel like trying out the dining room next time, I'd be happy to take care of the... More

The food and service are good. The portions are small but tasty. The cocktails are very good and the bar is amazing. The menu was limited, but we enjoyed what we ordered. There are many other better options for the price in RiverNorth.

We made reservations for my husbands birthday dinner after reading many reviews. There are so many places to chose from in the city, and we were only going to be there for 4 nights, so we planned carefully. The restaurant is very warm and welcoming but upscale at the same time. Our server, Rodger, was great, and we had a... More

We went to Sable after eating at Purple Pig for desserts and drinks. Trendy atmosphere, lots of people out on Saturday night for drinks, so good place to people watch. I ordered Sticky Toffee Pudding, and it was really good. I needed something sweet, but I didn't expect anything special. The vibe (when we went) was of a total bar/lounge... More

Sable has always been a "must" when we come to Chicago...whether we are staying at the Palomar or not. Some of the best meals and cocktails we've ever had have been here. Not sure if it's the departure of Heather Terhune, but our most recent experience couldn't have been more different, or disappointing (granted, based on experience my expectations were... More

I was in town helping to host a small working dinner. We were looking for a place that would have good food and drinks, as well as be conveniently located and not too noisy. Sable was perfect. We didn't have a private room, but we were seated at a table that was off to the side of the kitchen. The... More
