You can't go wrong at Sable! It's the coolest atmosphere and the food is out of this world! Chef Heather really knows what she's doing. The cocktail and wine selections are top notch (try the Jack Rose; Humphrey Bogart's fave cocktail!). The service is perfection. Although my friends and I like to try new places, we always make time to... More

Couple dinner. We got there at about 4:30 and had a nice window seat. The wait staff was excellent and very helpful in recommending items from the menu. The watermelon, red pepper and mint chef's bite was wonderful. Ordered items to share and we enjoyed every last bite.

It was loud and lively - we sat in the bar as we hadn't made reservations for the restaurant. The service was great and the food wonderful. We had the Mac and cheese, beet salad and short rib sliders all excellent and perfect for sharing. Nice drinks menu as well.

I'm always a bit concerned about small plates...will it be filling enough for everyone? Will people share well? My husband and I went here for our last night in Chicago, and we LOVED it! Our waiter talked us through the menu, made size suggestions...didn't try to have us order too much....and everything was perfect! The side or corn creme brulee... More

My husband and I were very happy with our experience at sable- the food is very elegantly prepared but not overly priced- also, there are some very comfort food- friendly type of dishes for those who don't eat a lot of fancy foods ! :-) in example- I got some Wisconsin cheese curds for an appetizer and my entree was... American food is great, but even better when elevated with not so common ingredients. Their deviled eggs...now I know what you may be thinking...they are just deviled eggs, but NO, these deviled eggs have character. These deviled eggs are made with truffle oil and they are delicious. Short ribs...sure, you've had them before, but short rib sliders at Sable are... More

We were looking for a fun, local venue while in town for a family wedding with only one evening to spend 'on the town'. We loved Sable and were glad we opted for it among the many excellent choices we considered. We had three hungry young adults among our group who promptly ate their way through most of the small... We had Sunday brunch here. The food was really great. We had the Shrimp & Grits, Bourbon Maple Syrup Chicken and Waffles, Bacon-Apple french toast and the truffle deviled eggs. Chicken in the chicken & waffles plate was a little bland- the bourbon syrup was GREAT!. Shrimp & Grits was the best. Everything was great, some of the food is... More
