We ate dinner here recently. Food was reasonable but nothing exceptional. Interesting place to share tapas-style dishes - brick chicken was particularly good. Wine list is somewhat limited.

Dined at Sable this past week. Nice, interesting bar and good restaurant. It was a balmy evening and we opted to sit outside. Our server, Audra, was very capable and professional. The meals are not necessarily small plates, but tend that way -- we shared. The bean dip was tasty and interesting. The crudo, which that night was white tuna,... More

This was my second time at Sable having visited almost a year ago. The tapas like formula of small plates intended for sharing is great, and avoids the choice dilemma of a more traditional two course approach. Everything was good, but the pork belly and scallops stood out as particularly excellent.

During our anniversary trip to Chicago our hotel bartender recommended checking out the Sable. The space was very modern/contemporary and the staff was friendly and full of advice! The best part about our visit was the cocktail the bartender made my wife... she wasn't sure what she wanted so he asked her what she flavors she was looking for... minutes... More

We were looking for a place in Chicago to celebrate my father-in-law's 80th birthday. It was a tough crowd to please. We needed a place to accommodate varied food tastes and wallets while having a little bit of style. Sable absolutely fit the bill. The food was outstanding and fairly reasonably priced. The main part of Sable is fairly loud... More

Sable Kitchen is a refreshing, swanky place that makes a great spot for brunch. The contemporary, sunlit space was very pretty, and the waitstaff was great too. The menu was interesting in a good way....not your average scrambled eggs and home fries. I had the adobo pork belly and fried egg biscuit sandwich, which was great, and my husband had... More

We had stopped in for a cocktail the day before, and were impressed, but when we returned for dinner, it was forgetable. It was loud, so we asked to sit in a banquette so we could hear each other. This request seemed to throw off the staff, even though there were several open tables. Once we were seated, it took... More

My wife and I visited Sable Kitchen & Bar early on a saturday evening. We went early because they were booked for later times, and we didn't want to miss this well known eatery.
