You just have to go and experience it!!!! Fantastic!!
I was told I would have to wait because they are typically always packed and that is usually a good sign in my opinion. The wait wasnt bad at all and we had a glass wine across the street (per the hostess recommendation) and they called us when our table was ready. We had the Turkey Confeit and Pork Shoulder.... More
I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical. The Purple Pig is on the Magnificent Mile, heart of tourist territory. The location, signage and decor screamed - over-rated, tourist restaurant. But with the assurance of my Chicago-native friend, I was willing to give it a try. The place serves small plates but with big flavor. You probably want about... More
Just go! I had 5 courses and Ryan helped me with my wine pairings. All excellent.... Ended with the cheese selection and a 30 year old Sandeman tawny port. Best meal I've had in a while .... If you can't find something here that interests your palate then you have a problem. Great, eclectic restaurant. Go!

The highlight... More
This is one happening place to eat! Great atmosphere, amazing food! I LOVE the concept of sharing many small plates with everyone at your table. We got to try lots of different things, and everything was wonderful! This is my FAV restaurant in Chicago! The only negative thing I would say is that there was a wait for the two... More

Just delicious. This is a busy, hopping spot, so arrive early or be prepared to wait. We noticed most people were eating some... More
