Great meal, a little pricy

Went there right after a classical concert in Millenium Park; the perfect way to end our evening! In the end, the meal was a little pricy for what it was, but everything was great. The panang curry was slightly too sweet for my taste, but it was very smooth and the right amount of spicy kick! Their... read more

After a flight from DC and drive into the city, I was looking for a quick meal before turning in for the night. The service was average and had to ask for my drink three times before receiving it. I ordered the spring rolls and could only eat three bites; they were really that bad. I've never had a spring... More

On a cold summer day we stopped in for a light lunch based on recommendations from Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. I ordered hot green tea, which sounds too simple to mention, but was unusually good, and Negi Hamachi Sushi Maki , which again was very good. My daughter ordered Miso soup and gyoza, both of which were excellent. So... More

I'm so glad we stumbled upon this restaurant. The food was delicious and the gyoza was some of the best I've had. They provided childrens' chopsticks for our toddler and she had a great time. No wait, reasonable prices. Nothing fancy or pretentious here, just great food and service.

We just moved to Chicago, and I feel like we will be frequenting this place often! We liked the sushi we had, but it was tiny. The real winner was their thai dishes. My pad thai was a little too sweet for me, but my husband's pad kee mao was delicious!

This restaurant closes at 10PM we went there last night at 9.50PM and they served us with a very nice meal. When we called tonight at 9.30PM we were refused entry. Obviously they have so much business they don't need anymore. We will not return.

This is almost a fast food restaurant also serving sushi. The food was average although the service was prompt. Since it was 45 degrees and drizzling, I decided on the Tempura Udon. The portion was generous and the broth tasty. The tempura lacked seasoning and tasted bland.

I wandered upon Hot Wok Cool Sushi by chance on a nice evening in downtown Chicago recently. Small cafe with outdoor seating. I began with their version of Spring Rolls, which brought together a Vietnamese style of spring roll with a Chinese wrap, and a little Japanese sushi with sweet sake scrambled egg. Delicious and refreshing. For the main course,... More
