For dinner, this restaurant does not cook its fish well. We had to send our salmon back twice and it wasn't well done upon its return. The manager, Linh Pham, was very kind and did not require us to pay for the meal. It is really a sports bar and not somewhere we would return to. We've had breakfast there... More

We walked here for supper because it was near our hotel and had good reviews on TripAdvisor. We shared four dishes - wood grilled market flatbread (interesting flavors - 4 slices); Pot of Maine Mussels with fries (great flavors); Fried Green Tomatoes (best dish, but only 3 slices); and buttermilk grits (very cheesy, but not much flavor). Service was good,... More

I went for lunch here recently and had the lunch deal that included turkey sandwiches, chips and a drink. It was a really generous portion and I was absolutely stuffed. Food was really good. Others in my party had the pea soup (very popular!) and breads. I'd go here again for lunch.

Stopped in for dinner and thought the experience was average. They are use to having men alone in the bar, they acted confused I was there alone. My service was fair and the food was average. Typical bar food. For the price, I will not be back.

Had a chance to try the infamous Zombie Dust. Bartenders were very approachable and were very knowledgeable about their beers. I definitely appreciated that they kept their inventory list updated on beer menus.com That was the sole reason I came here. My bet is that if they keep this up, there will be many other patrons like myself who will... More

Food is average. My herb and greens salad was surprisingly delicious. It was the perfect size for a 1st course. Unfortunately the main dish was not good at all. I ordered perch. I'm not familiar with that type of fish but it had a very chewy consistency. The gnocci that comes in the dish was delicious. Needless to say, I... More

I stayed at the Wit and enjoyed breakfast & lunch at State and Lake. The food was great. For breakfast I loved the green smoothy. Can't remember what was in it. The chicken panini I had for lunch was delicious. The staff was so helpful. I was in a big hurry for lunch as I had to catch a plane... More

Great place to meet with friends, and grab a beer and some very good food. Have tried a few menu items and all have been very high quality. Plenty of TV's to catch all the games and staff is very accommodating.

I would stay away from this one. There are much better options in Chicago. The service was horrible. To start off they lost our reservation. While they did seat us quickly after arriving, it was 15 minutes before any server came by to even say hello. Our beers finally arrived at the table 35 minutes after we sat down. It... More
