Delicious and innovative dishes, with a wonderful wine list - all at accessible prices; no wonder it is so popular! Trendy, small room. Location somewhat dicey, but they call you a cab afterward. Close to the McCormick Place convention center, but not a "convention" or "tourist" spot. Will definitely return on next visit to Chicago,

Located on Halsted, near the art galleries. Parking is on the street, but there was also a valet. The room is fairly large, with different areas available for dining. We did not even know about the kitchen counter until we went to the restrooms. The window seating was comfortable, but also a bit chilly. Our server was excellent. The cocktail... More

My son and I were driving by looking for brunch on a Sunday during IIT's parent's weekend. We went to two places in the Pilsen area looking for it but had no luck. Then we drove by the unasumming entrance to Nightwood. The place looked packed. We entered through the patio - it must be great in summer - into... More

We were in town for the Chicago marathon and walked here from the Hilton. Probably not a great idea. In any event, the walk was worth it - the food was very good and we enjoyed sitting at the kitchen bar and watching the action. We had the pork belly and the duck - both great choices with terrific flavor.... More

This place has a lot going for it. Pilsen has a nice vibe. The restaurant has a fresh menu and some interesting stuff on it. The waitress was delightful and went out of her way to help on choice of wine and choice of food. We didnt have a huge appetite on the night but what we did have was... More

I wanted to try a restaurant in Pilsen and am very glad I chose Nightwood! The restaurant is on an empty street, but the food was excellent and the overall atmosphere was lovely. I really like the farm-to-table trend that's going on right now, but their menu does change depending on what's in season so you might have something different... More

We went to Nightwood for Sunday brunch and was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't a very large menu, but they had a very good selection. We started with the butterscotch bacon donut. Oh my goodness. I did not expect to really like it, but we LOVED it; so much that we ordered another one. My son and I ordered a simple... More

This is one of my new fav brunch places in Chicago! I had the peach crepes and my husband had the corn chowder with pork belly. both were inventive and had novel ingredient pairings -the streusel and kettle corn with mint went awesomely with peach crepe! Also best doughnut -bacon butterscotch-I've had in Chicago by far!!!

I searched for weeks to find a "Different" kind of restaurant in Chicago and didn't succeed in finding one until 1:00 AM Wednesday morning. My friends like different, they wanted different and that's just what we got. I lucked up and found one of the best meals I've ever eaten. It consisted of all fresh local farm items like hand...
