Lovely food served here. I recommend the crispy duck and rice, it's brilliant. The food is fresh and nicely presented and carefully prepared. Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is good too.

The food was excellent and inventive. Each stop at the table to deliver food was met with anticipation and eagerness born from the previous course. The quality was excellent and preparation was nearly always phenomenal. It was loud and difficult to talk to our companions at our table. If I were to go back again I would probably return earlier... Simply put this is the best Asian / Pan Asian / Sushi please I've ever eaten at, anywhere in the world. The staff are very knowledgeable, professional, efficient & polite. The food was absolutely out of this world. It wa so good I went back twice during my 7 night stay in Chicago. I will definitely be going back when... More

I was in Chicago this past weekend for my birthday and my sister, who lives in Chicago, had recommended Sunda. Sushi sounded great so we arrived without reservations and were seated immediately. We had an excellent server who went over the menu with us since we had never been there before. We were all very hungry and decided collectively what... More

Everything we had here was delicious. The brussel sprout appetizer was interesting and delicious and larger than we expected. Though two of us shared it, there would have been enough to share with others. The same for the shrimp tempura appetizer which, although not your typical tempura, was also wonderful. Lots of smaller shrimp, very lightly breaded in a tasty... More

I've never had something that I don't like here!! Everything from apps to entrees to sushi is so great. I love the hip, loungy atmosphere and their creative cocktail list. I try to go whenever I visit Chicago!

We love this place. It fills up fast so reservation are suggested. We loved ordering small plates to share with the table. Our favorites were the Lemon grass beef lolly pops. And the Uni sushi was the second favorite. There was nothing we ordered we would not order again. It does get a big loud but a fun hip spot... More

We went to this place on Monday night, we arrived at the restaurant around 6PM, we did not have any reservation, the place was packed but we seated right when we arrived. There were 3 of us and we ordered the duck siopao or steamed bun. It was tasty. My friend ordered the pad thai which was delicious and I... More

If you are looking for pan-Asian food with creative touches Sunda does it as well as anyone. We were a crowd of 17 for drinks and dinner. A preselected dinner menu was necessary that included many sushi rolls, lollipop beef, chicken and other various starters. All were terrific, among the best Asian food preps we've had. We next enjoyed several... More

Everything we had here was great - don't see how you can go wrong...but the CHILI ALBACORE SASHIMI was out-of-bounds. I seriously could have eaten three orders all to myself!
