I found this place on an online food review site prior to our trip and just had to try it. So glad we did and you should as well!!!! If you order a Rooibos tea it won't disappoint!

Came here for my dad's bday and it was great! Our waiter was wonderful and the food was absolutely delicious. The whole meal was an experience. We got fish, ribs, carrots, squash and fries - everything tasted amazing and had unique components (fish with grapes and pistachios, BBQ carrots). Definitely will be going back!

Been here a few times and love the place. Great wine and beer options. The place is built for the foodie to likes a variety of meat products. Worth the trip over to Fulton Market area to partake in great food (family style) and drink.

So, I've never been here, and it was highly recommended - so when I walked in and saw that it was mainly hipsters in a communal style of seating I was a bit caught off guard. This was offset by the line of James Beard Awards hanging on the walls, and a fair share of tattoo'd groups scattered throughout. Tip... More

Wonderful, creative cuisine, with an emphasis on meats. Very pleasant, airy surroundings in a genuinely interesting spot, located in one of the hottest areas of Chicago.

The Publican is my favorite restaurant in Chicago. After living in Chicago for 16 years, I moved overseas and when I came back to visit, this restaurant was #1 on my list. My husband and I love to dine out and this was in our regular rotation. It features pork and seafood, the world's two most delicious foods. The chef... More

saw this place on TV and had to try it...needless to say, I was blown away. The maple bacon alone is worth the trip, not to mention the beer list and the brunch menu...goodness! I will be coming back soon Publican, be sure to have my Bourbon County Stout waiting!

A great place for sharing - we (4 of us) started with the aged ham (we had the taste of 3 but the serrano far outranked the others), barbecued carrots (really good), beets (my wife said they were good) and oysters (good selection - West coast tastier). We moved on to Skate wing, potted rillettes and suckling pig. We all... More

My wife, daughter and I just enjoyed a pleasant and delicious brunch at The Publican. We stared with oysters. My wife and I live in the upper Midwest--we thought them excellent. Our daughter, who lives near the East Coast reminded us that this really wasn't a great time for oysters, but rated them very good. I had the Cajun Gumbo--one... More

I cannot say enough about this restaurant. We visited after watching Anthony Bordain eat here. The menu is very unique and great for foodies. Another Chicago restaurant with a fantastic beer and oyster menu. We sat at a table for two, but most diners are seated at communal experience tables. What delicious food and a fantastic dining experience. We loved... More
