Great food, lively atmosphere. If you want to surprise yourself, try the chefs menu. You are certain to eat something you normally wouldn't and like it.

Atmosphere, Quality, Flavours - all on point! Service was outstanding. It was so nice to see everyone that worked there smiling, and really enjoying what they did. Couldn't have had a better experience here.

The PR people are earning their money. This place is ok on a good night. Nothing earth shattering. Loud enough to generate permanent nerve deafness. During the wait for our initial acknowledgement by our server, to the end of the long, slow process I think I aged five years. Our sitter died and our kids went to college. And we... More

Came with colleagues at a conference. Had the chef menu, which is always a surprise. Had multiple courses, all of which were outstanding. Particular highlights were the collar of black bass, grilled carrots and porchetta. Great beer selection. Very loud but fun atmosphere.

It's always on the list of places to eat. Food is fantastic. Think Gastro meets local, meets food friendly beer and wine and then turn it up a notch or 9. The only thing to dislike is that it's popular. Mussels, charcuterie, big pork chops. Wow. Wish we were going tonight

First the positives: amazing, shareable dishes that are both delicious and visually stunning. And I'm sure if you are with a large group (6+) it's a fun place to visit & eat. BUT, in my opinion, the negatives is what makes The Publican memorable...and not in a good way. The cavernous space serves as a guarantee this restaurant will become... More

I been going to high end restaurants for over 30 years and this is one of the best food-wise. That being said, I sat at the bar facing the kitchen, not at one of the long, long communal tables, so was able to talk with my companion without feeling like other people were listening in. The set up for dining... More

We had heard about this restaurant through Anthony Bourdain, so we figured it had to be good. It wasn't....it was spectacular! The owner personally greeted us and made sure we were comfortable at the bar while we waited for our table, even buying us a drink as an apology for our wait time (a whopping 15 minutes....as New Yorkers, we...
