Located in Downtown Chicago, can hop in at any time of the day for a quick bite and a good drink. Very cheerful staff and happy ambience.
We were in chicago for just a night as a mini getaway. Our valet guy and women at the front desk of our hotel both recommended hub 51 so we figured we would give it a shot. We were not disappointed! The service was Amazing. My friends both had tuna which was the fish of the day. They loved it.... More
If you enjoy lots of people (predominately under 30 years of age), jammed together--this is the place to go!! Now that's just the bar scene. Once you get into the dining area, there's a bit more room. Wouldn't call it spacious, but being in close quarters to your fellow diners perhaps is part of the 'allure' of this restaurant. There... Tasty brunch options-we had guacamole and different kinds of tacos. Also, free OJ with the purchase of a bottle of champagne to make mimosas. Service was good-place fills up if there is a Bears game on. They do take reservations. Bathrooms are down a steep flight of stairs.
Staying next door, we stopped in for a night cap and appetizers. Expensive, limited menu for late night munchies. Ordered quacamole, it was uninteresting but a huge portion. Keep tabs on your servers, hard to get their attention as ours chatted for long periods with a group of men with her back to the restaurant.
This place is trendy and has a great ambience, as well as a great selection of local beers. For vegetarians--including vegans--there are at least two entrees that are fantastic: the vegetarian tacos are excellent, although the white rice was a bit boring, and the guacamole and chips are delicious. There's also a lentil burger which we didn't try but looks... More
Went for the first time after a thursday night bears game - its the perfect place to go after a sporting event to grab some food and drinks.
Wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining here on a trip to Chicago. Made a reservation a couple of days in advance, place was packed so glad we did so. Menu is very eclectic. Had a sushi appetizer which was good. I had the El Segundo Sol burger, wife had the Tuna Burger. Both were quite large and... More
Hub51 is great for dinner or dinner and drink type of night. Also great for late night bar atmosphere. They also have Sub51 in the basement, but usually hard to get in to and sometimes they're pickey on who they let in. Hub 51 has great selection of food and drinks as well.
