Very good food and excellent service. Would definitely go back:) The ribs and fish taco's were superb.
Hub 51 is often very busy on weekends. Even with a reservation plan on a wait. The menu offers a wide variety of choices including sushi, sandwiches, salads, Mexican and seafood. Nothing really outstanding but all the dishes are solid.
We arrived in Chicago in time for a late lunch and asked the Concierge at our hotel (Kinzie) where we should go. Hub 51 is right around the corner from the Kinzie and we couldn't have been happier with his suggestion. I ordered the cornbread as an appetizer - with a price of $8.50 I knew it had to be... More
So close to our hotel, the menu was just right, the atmosphere was congenial, and the staff were so lovely we made it a regular spot to meet friends for drinks... the food was WAY above your average bar food.. even the nachos and the sushi were exceptional!
I had a great time at Hub 51. The nacho plate was a great appetizer for the four people in our group. The tuna burger was fantastic, if a bit messy. They have an interesting season salt they put on their fries. I think it was meant to be like a BBQ inspired seasoning blend, but I'm not sure how... More
I'm a big fan of the diverse selection and quality. The ambiance is also great not just for dinner but to have some drinks. Reservations are a must since it's usually crowded.
The food at hub 51 is really good and tasty, we ate fish (cod and salmon) and it was well prepared. But the prices are a bit high!
We almost didn't go to Hub 51 because the menu was odd... so many different types of food, how could they be good at everything? They can! Mmmmm! Firstly, we had the nachos with braised beef... to die for!!! Our table's meal choices ran the gamut - from Mexican to sushi. Everyone enjoyed their selections. Go figure. I would definitely... More
Title says it all for me. I went for a work dinner. Wasn't all that impressed with my meal, although the guacamole was delicious. Really, it was just loud and the tables were on top of each other. I would probably try something different next time I'm in the area.
The filet mignon was delicious, the fries that accompanied the kids' hamburgers were wonderfully seasoned (so much so that I kept sneaking them from their plates), my Brussels sprouts salad with manchego, Medjool dates, cranberries, and peanuts was really good and I found myself searching for a similar recipe online. Great friendly service, cool space.
