If you are a local or a visitor to Chicago, Spacca Napoli is a must have! I consider myself a pizza connoisseur and I have tried possibly every Brick Oven pizza restaurant in the city and Spacca Napoli is hands down the BEST!... The oven itself was built by artisans who traveled into Chicago from Italy. The owner, John is... More

One of our favorite summer restaurants. I have never really minded waiting for an outside table. They have benches set up around the restaurant that are very comfortable and wine service while you are waiting....not a bad way to get an evening gathering started among friends. They always have servers. The pizzas are definitely Napolitano style which can be a... More

Unfortunately - the pizza at Spacca Napoli - is slightly worse than okay - very poor crust - messily thrown together - and rather flavorless. There are those who will refute that one who doesn't like the pizza here - simply doesn't understand what a Neapolitan pizza is. Not true. Bad is bad - anywhere in the world. There's little... More

Great everything! Got the Margherita and pepperoni pizza followed by Tiramisu and cappuccino. Great atmosphere and a hidden treasure did I say Vero Napolitano? We it is. GO NOW!

This place is such a gem. The ingredients are fresh, the sauce is simple and delicious, and the dough is... well... pretty much perfect. My guess is that the pizza is placed in the oven briefly at somewhere over 800 degrees. And that means the ingredients are still fresh when it comes out of the oven. I agree with other... More

When I was in Italy a few years ago one of my favorite meals was pizza. I loved the simple ingredients as well as the wood fired charred crust. When I returned home I tried to duplicate this but could not. There weren't many places around Chicago that had wood fired grill either. Spacca Napoli came to the rescue. Not... More

The pizza here is amazing. Also, some of the sides were even better. We came here with a group and the waitress was so great. She even offered to have Red Bull for us the next time we dined! So much fun and a great restaurant.

My family and I slipped up to Chicago for a weekend getaway and sought-out this restaurant after having a great Napoli pizza in NYC a few years ago (and have been seeking out ever since). This place didn't disappoint. Very clean and nice interior. Excellent wait staff. Just ordered 2 pizzas suggested by the server (their spicy sausage pizza and... More

The pizzas we had were fantastic. The crust is the perfect thickness and texture. Toppings were fresh and delicious. I also had the Insalata Eoliana which was unbelievable! But the dessert topped it all -- not being a huge fan of tiramisu, I always like to try something a little different. Here I had the tartufo. It was just divine!!

I'm from NY and I am a pizza snob. I hosted a dinner party of 20 in their private room. The owner Jon and the manager were extremely helpful in designing the menu. The service and food was outstanding as were the wines, many which you don't see in a typical Italian restaurant. I like the fact that they have... More
