Ambiance is one of the essentials of fine dinning, and 16 missed the mark badly. I am sorry we spend our time and money (lots of it $$$$) on 16. I am not sure what happened to the place, we have dined at 16 a number of times always please with the experience. I did not enjoy the pairing menu... More

Food: Mixed feelings. There is nothing about sixteen to be a 5 star restaurant. I had the most expensive tasteless salad ever. Taste: one star. Presentation: one star. Service: three stars. Price: six stars. Breakfast was ok but does not compare with other restaurants that are similarly priced and rated.

The service was precise and unpretentious. I ordered the steak and eggs (sans the eggs ) my steak was cooked to perfection, the potatoes burst with flavor, my pancake was as light and fluffy as a cloud and my fresh squeezed grapefruit juice tasted as if the fruit itself was just plucked from a Floridian orchard. This meal exemplifies why... More

We had considered dining at Sixteen as a pre-theater experience, but wisely chose instead to devout the entire evening to this impressive restaurant. The Trump Tower was brand new when we last dined here, and it's clear that the chef has developed a sense of adventure! We partook of the current "Night and Day" menu, with Mrs. Gyr and I... More

For a great and healthy start of the day, go with the "white delight" which includes egg whites, salmon and a protein smoothie.

My husband and I came from New York for a long weekend in what is rapidly becoming my (second) favorite eating city, Chicago. We booked an early table at Sixteen, a restaurant with ceilings so high as to give one immediately to understand that this experience will be extraordinary. We arrived in good spirits and were welcomed by equally disposed... More

We visited Trump recently, and had breakfast at Sixteen (on the 16th Floor). Our waiter welcomed us as he offered freshly squeezed orange juice. From the varied menu, we selected a crab omelet, protein shake, blueberry muffin, poached egg, and coffee. All were top-notch.

I was excited to try the Winter menu - I love a menu with a story and this one takes you through the history of Chicago with much of the different historical and cultural influences represented (think Borscht, a West African rice and Beans dish, an homage to architecture, treats inspired by the World Fairs, and more). Very imaginative and... More

The winter menu was definitely very interesting. Every dish had something to do with the history of chicago. Food was very good. Not mind-blowing, but good. Service was impeccable. The restaurant is very nice. Fantastic view. I just dont understand why they have that ugly carpet.

A stunning place for Sunday brunch. Very good food, and elegant ambience at the 16th floor at the Trump Tower. Service was a bit slow, but definately a place to visit.
