Chewable

This is one of those places, that is hanging on by a thread. Nice menu, never changes, food is chewable. Breakfast is by far the best choice.

I've been here several time and the food has always been ok, but never wows me. Prices are fair and the service is good. Visit here if you're looking for food like you'd make at time.

This is a place where the city comes to meet. You will seldom go there and not see someone you know. The food is.....eh, ok. Not great, although the praline pancakes will put a smile on your face. The place is famous for a quick bread called Strawberry Bread. It's well known and loved in the area so you have... More

Charleston Illinois is a fantastic historic city with interesting stories regarding Abraham Lincoln the Civil War and much more. In addition there is a great place to have either breakfast lunch or dinner that I highly recommend called What's Cookin. The menu is full with some interesting dishes and the service is very good. When you go there for any... More

After a business meeting in Charleston, a business colleague and I stopped here on the recommendation of someone from the area. The place was fairly busy - and the menu - which is available on line - had some interesting choices. The service was a bit slow - but we weren't in a hurry so that was not an issue.... More

I am a picky eater and while there are a few things here I would not order, I did order the Greek Salad with Feta. It was fresh, sprinkled with Greek herbs and the waitress was great. She brought a cruet of olive oil (the only fat I will eat besides other organic oils like walnut or grape seed) and... More

Good food and family atmosphere! Takes a little too long to get your food if you have a larger (6 or more) group.

I eat breakfast there every weekend I'm in town, sometimes both Saturday and Sunday! Great eggs, blueberry pancakes, and everything else. You've required me to answer the following question but I'm always there with family AND friends. I live in Charleston and eat here a lot.
