The only thng which would make the Rib Eye better is if it were located in the north part of Champaign. We love the salad bar, the steaks are always tender and cooked perfectly, and the servers are efficient and friendly.

In desperate need of an update. Very tired decor, tables FAR too close to each other. We timed our arrival earlier in an evening, before a football game let out, and was immediately shown a table. We placed our order and visited the salad bar (so-so, apparently salad is synonymous with "mayonnaise", judging from the several offerings of super-creamy salads)....

Great for a couples night out or family get together. They are very accommodating and willing to take reservations (on selected nights). Menu is restrictive but they have the best salad bar in town and their pea salad is to die for good.
We tried this place with 7 other people. Upon pulling in I could tell the place was very aged but sometimes those are the best places. The service was very good but the food lacked. Yes they have a great salad bar but I'm coming for the steak. Maybe it was an off night but 1 out of 7 thought...

JMJ Arrived in Champaign and outside the hotel in the parking lot was this delicious aroma! I wanted to eat there and no where else. It was the Ribeye Restaurant in Champaign at 1701 S. Neil. They claim to be the GREAT ONE STEAK PLACE and they are correct. The menu is very limited so you really should be looking...

This place is an institution. The interior hasn't changed or been updated in like forever, but who cares? You go there for the food.
The Ribeyes come in 8oz and you can add ounces to them. They are wonderfully seasoned and prepared well and served on a sizzling skillet. The twice baked potatoes are worth a trip themselves, as is...

Having been to The Ribeye in the past, I expected a fine dining experience. I knew what to expect, price wise, a bit on the high side but not extravagant. The Ribeye's specialty, of course, is the ribeye steak. It is sold between 8oz-32oz sizes, with the cost going up accordingly. It offers a Salad bar, fresh baked bread, and...

We visit The Ribeye several times a year. Service is always excellent. The salad bar is top-notch and kept well stocked. The steaks are good but nothing really sets them apart from any other (chain) steak place locally. The Illini decor is wonderful for locals but underneath all the great photos there is a lurking '70s steakhouse aura. As much...

We have gone to the Ribeye for years and enjoy the food. The Steak is good and always properly cooked to order and I enjoy the salad bar, It is a good basic salad bar and the premade salads are good. The staff rocks the service. Some of the hardest working wait staff in town.
The decor leaves alot to...
