Our party of 12 was able to be seated together, eat great pizza and beverage of choice for less than $150. Perfect for our family.

I have been going here for 40 years. I believe its time to spend some money on the interior. It has not changed since I have been going there except for miner changes. They have built an outside area that is nice when weather permits. But the prices are to high for having to wait on yourself. 20.00+ dollars for... More

If you are expecting a wood fired oven pizza with basil picked from a garden in Tuscany you will be disappointed. However, if you are looking for a good pizza that tastes like it did when you were a kid. You will be pleased. Part of what makes this place desirable is that it has changed very little since my... Italian Village, Carbondale IL, is a restaurant that I have visited for the past 53 years; it was a student staple when I was a student, a family staple when I had children at home; now, the baton of allegiance has been passed down a couple of generations and it is still first choice for cheese, sausage and pepperoni pizza.... This was always a favorite place to eat while a college student in the 70s. I was pleased to find that the food was still awesome. We ordered ravioli dinner and it was a large portion. I should have ordered a half order as I couldn't eat it all after eating a salad. Flavor was great. I see other reviews... More

Italian Village has been a place my whole family has gone since I was a kid. Even when family from around the US comes back to the area, we go to IV's. The food is great, just about anything you could want to eat, and the price fits the meal. Good experience!

I'm not sure why anyone would give this place more than 3 stars. It was dark, dingy, and average food at best. The fact that "Italian" is in the name is a joke. The place seemed dirty. I realize it's an old restaurant but I mean is everything in there still original? I won't be going back.

I have been going to Italian Village at least monthly for 30 years. The pizza/service has always been perfect until the past couple of months. Too of of three times pizza was doughy and service was slow. I think it may be under new management. Salad bar still good. My last pizza was good as usual, but one more screwup... More

This used to be our favorite pizza place, not anymore. The last 3 times we've eaten there the food hasn't been good. Blandest Italian Beef I've ever eaten. Reuben wasn't very good either, but the worst is the pizza. Nine of us went there tonight for my sons birthday, which we've been doing almost every year since he was 3.... More

coming from Chicago we were very skeptical about this pizza...especially since it is a college town and college kids will eat anything! We were very very surprised with the quality and taste of the pizza! I especially liked the alfredo pizza....(except the canned mushrooms-that won't fly in Chicago!)
