I moved from this area about ten years ago and hadn't eaten there in at least fifteen. The pizza was as good as I remembered it if not better. They must be using the same recipes and ingredients. I wouldn't change anything. Worth a stop especially the younger crowd as it is close to the university.

Not surprising this place went under. The food was terrible and and as the fancy name suggested the prices were high. He had a good pizza place, but decided to go "upscale". The service was also terrible.

We stopped here on a visit to Southern Illinois University, after my daughter's exploratory day on campus. It was a Friday, and we were beat. For us, we found: - Pizza was great - Other choices (pasta, sandwich, salad) were filling and satisfying - Desserts were really good - Service was slow (7:00 PM on a Friday, though), yet waitress... I relocated to Marion Illinois (10 miles east of DiMaggio's ) fro the Chicago area. Chicago is known for their pizza. So after my initial visit here with my family, I was pleasantly surprised.

Their new location is great. Much better than the previous hole-in-the-wall spot. Good food for a reasonable price. Easy to park and friendly.

Not sure why this place isn't doing more business. The food was excellent, the service was good and the prices are reasonable.

I have been at this restaurant many times. The last one was very amazing. They have nice waiters. Delicious pasta and tramisso ..

Great pan pizza! Takes a while to cook, but worth the wait! Calamari cooked perfectly (not rubbery). Another member of our party ordered Fettuccine Alfredo and loved it. If you like authentic Italian food, you'll love DiMaggio's.
