Service was excellent. Drinks kept coming. For the price I believe the food was pretty good. Made a reservation on a Friday night and didn't have to wait. 😄

We started eating here in college when it was still a delicious secret. The American Thai fusion is executed perfectly with bold delicious flavors and we try to stop in here everytime we return to Illiniois.

Thai taste was recommended by the Holiday Inn staff as a great place to eat and it was. I had the yellow shrimp curry, at a heat level of 5. It tasted great, a little light on the shrimp but overall good. Service was great. A note on the heat levels, 1-10. I like spicy and I opted for a... More

Thai Taste sits on "The Square" in Carbondale. The menu offers fairly typical Thai fair. It is a small but comfortable corner restaurant overlooking one of the busier intersections in town. In terms of value, the lunch menu can't be beat. For $8-$9 Thai Taste offers a lunch special of soup, an egg roll, a bowl of rice, and an... More

Nice small place with the owner usually doing the cooking. I have been coming here since it opened. The spice level is not consistent across dishes as each one has a different blend. I love their fresh rolls and although I am not a vegetarian really enjoy their tofu. I almost always go for lunch as you get soup and... More

My husband and I have lived here for 2 years and just decided to try Thai Taste. I am so happy we did, yet so sad we waited so long. We had the egg rolls for an appetizer which were delicious! The dinners are enough to eat for two meals and wonderful! For dessert we had the fried cheesecake. The... More

I asked them to keep out fish sauce from pad thai & they said chef insisted on fish sauce. Mediocre one flavor-oily taste to other dishes. Thai-D in Marion best Thai food in area.

Thai taste has good, authentic Thai food, but a limited menu, especially when compared to other Thai restaraunts in the area, namely Thai D. The food is rather expensive for what it is, and it's a small, usually crowded space. Wait times for tables are usually wrong. Over all, good, but not stellar.

Have been here many times. Have improved a lot since they first opened. Good Tom Yum soup, good Pad Thai. Make sure that you ask for the spice level that suits you, 4 is a little spicy not too hot, 8 is really pretty spicy.

My friend brought me here when they first opened. Never having thai food before I was skeptical but they have made believers out of me! There lunch is a wonderful value as well. It is a go to spot for our group of gals. A+
