Nice Irish pub!

I enjoyed my visit to Irish Times greatly--it's set up as a traditional pub, and has the things I deem necessary to qualify: Guinness on tap, and Red Breast whiskey! My friends and I ate lunch there, and the fish and chips I had were excellent. I'd go back here in a moment.

I love this place and miss it dearly. Have only gone back a few times since leaving Brookfield but I had many great memories here, the kind that you can't remember. The do this amazing thing with their guiness, they draw shamrocks in the foam or hearts if you go on valentines day. What a cool trick. They have great... More

Irish Times is right next to the Brookfield Metra stop. My first visit was a few weeks ago for dinner with some friends. The fish & chips, Guinness, Bass and Harp were excellent. The Chicken Curry looked excellent. Additionally the service and atmosphere were great as well. The Pub has a real Irish feel, especially the cottage out back, and... More

I usually read reviews before I go to a new restaurant but in this case I didnot do so. I do not understand the great reviews of this restaurant. I was not impress. I joined my friends late (45 minutes) and they had already eaten. That is OK but the server would not let us get a separate check as... More

We went here during mid-afternoon and it wasn't busy. To start with, service was EXTREMELY slow. And we just aren't sure why. It seemed like our waitress spent alot of time out of sight. It never got any better and we would have really liked to have drink refills sooner than at the very end of our meal at the... More

Had lunch at an amazing Irish Pub in Brookfield, Illinois, are likely to return before we leave the Chicago area - - it's that good! Fish & Chips were selling like wildfire at tables around us, do we had to try it. We were not disappointed. Then we saw a plate if mussels go by, swimming in a garlic cream... More

What? Am I dreaming? An Irish Pub with great food? Irish Times has kept pace with modern times. I enjoyed a Boddington's Pub Ale, although I am cultivating a taste for Guinness, as I try just one sip of my husband's beer each time we're out, and its full-bodied goodness is growing on me. The bar is dark wood, there... More
