We always love going to Lancaster's. Any time we have a special occasion it is our go to place. If you want the same old thing/chain restaurant-type meal this is not where you want to go. The atmosphere is Downtown Old Bloomington--quaint, quiet and sophisticated. The service is outstanding and we are always met like we were old friends just... More

The group of ladies I met here for a girls night had appetizers and dessert to share. The food was very good! I don't know about prices, someone else paid! :)

Lancaster's is a great lunch place...quiet, professional service, feels a little upscale, but not ridiculously expensive. Try the Alley Salad!

It had been several years since our last two visits to this restaurant and thought we'd give it another try. Those two visits also were well placed apart and we quickly remembered the reason ... Over the years it's easy to be forgiving. The restaurant was reasonably busy on a snowy Saturday night and we were seated promptly. Our server... More

My wife and I decided to try Lancaster's last night. The place wasn't very busy, less than half full. Our entire visit took 90 minutes - way too long for a simple dinner for two (nothing was ordered that would require this kind of time, either). We started with the stuffed mushroom. 25 minutes later, it came on a plate... More

I grew up in town, but have lived around the country for the past 13 years, most of the time downtown Chicago. I got spoiled, but the quality of food and service at Lancaster's is fantastic, and at a higher level than most options in the area. We will be back soon!

They almost did it. They almost gave us the night out that we were hoping for, The food actually was quite good. We started with their scallop appetizer which they presented beautifully. The scallops were excellent~ the accompanying sauce just right in that it did not overpower, but enhanced the flavor of the seafood. We went on to order the... More

We have been enjoying Lancaster's for 20 years, We always wanted the best for our Anniversary, but we had several issues recently. There were so many verbal changes & substitutions to the menu, that we couldn't keep it straight. Duck appetizer was very nice, seafood bisque was very nice. Veal had been cut into strips & breaded, seemed wrinkled, &... More

Went to Lancaster's for our 5 year anniversary. We had been to Lancaster's last year and were blown away by the quality of food and service. I don't know what happened between then and now but the food we were served tonight was very disappointing. The ribeye was tough and lacked flavor, the "greek meatballs" were tiny, greasy and appear... More

Overcooked steaks, but who even offers a 16oz bone-in ribeye? So thin of a cut is near impossible to cook evenly or with any precision-it should be 24oz. Other menu items offer dated and overall unoriginal offering. Decor is dated. Service is hit or miss.
