I sat at the bar and ordered the Steak Fillet Sliders. They were awesome and the bartender, Lidsay was outstanding. Her customer service eservice skills were great. It happened to be a Thursday, which was the night for the Piano Bar! Be sure and make this one of your places for great food, great customer service, and great music!

Jim's hands down has the best burgers! My colleagues and I all agree the burgers are great and even the chicken sandwich is delicious. I always get just the cheeseburger medium with potato salad and it never disappoints! Seems like they have made some decor improvements inside as well. The restaurant felt more airy and bright. Great place to enjoy... More

We all miss the blue cheese dressing on the salad! creamy garlic doesn't cut it!! charge us extra for the dressing, i don't care. Twice baked potato should be on the menu, it's great. I remember the steaks tasting better in the past 20 years we've been dining at jimmys;but still ok. A little $$$$$ though.

I used to love Jim's, mainly for their wonderfully aged steaks. Our most recent visit found the size of my usual favorite top sirloin was about half the size they used to be. It had a lot of fat and simply no longer had the wonderful taste that it used to. They have raised their already high prices and reduced... More

I had my birthday dinner tonight and I was very pleased with everything. I had heard a lot of things about Jim's good and bad but had never been there. I enjoyed the candel light and low lights. I was with a group of 15 and we were givin two servers. They were both very nice. Everyone enjoyed their dinner.... More

My family and I dined here on a Saturday night to celebrate a graduation. Like another patron, we bypassed a group of employess smoking outside of the main entrance. Really? I didn't mind the "outdated" decor; it screams old-school steak house or supper club, both of which I enjoy. The live piano music is a nice touch, but Lionel Ritchie... More

Date night with my husband and we decided to try Jim's Steak House. First thing we noticed was an employee having a smoke directly outside the door, he was nice enough to open it for us all while still smoking. Then upon entering the bar area a smell immediately hit us, it was as if stepping into a nursing home... More

Eaten here about 3 times in the last 6 months. The food is always very good, but it is very expensive. A bit over-priced in my opinion, which is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.

Excellent dining and I'd recommend the fish specials. First time in several years I've eaten here and it was better than I remembered. The sea bass special was incredible. The salad, soup were put together with attention and the service was very good. Great place for a date night. I look forward to my next visit to Bloomington.

First thing you notice when you walk in is the dated decor and not well kept carpet, ceilings and walls. The place is obviously kept so dark for a reason. The owners should reinvest some profit into updating and repairing their restaurant. I didn't order a steak because they are incredibly marked up beyond what they are worth. The chicken... More
