Have visited here on several occasions and always enjoyed the food and general ambience of the establishment.Yesterday, however, our party felt very let down by our experience. We arrived about fifteen minutes earlier than the booked time and found a scene of absolute chaos. No greeting on entry, bar area was full of unwashed glasses, tables were not set.No crackers to go with an expensive Christmas... I have been a couple of times now for lunch mid week. The decoration is good and appears warm and friendly. The lunches I have had have been value for money and served in good time. I have no complaints, but have not ate there at weekends or evenings.

It's ok but the food can be a bit hit and miss seems to be worse the quieter they are which makes you think they cook the food in advance and then heat it up

The previous time I came here was dire, so I was sceptical coming again. If it wasn't for my business associates wanting to return I probably would not of gone back. This time though I was pleasantly surprised, the food was served quickly and was presented well. I had the mixed grill and the steak was cooked to my liking.... More

I am a regular in the bulls head and its a great place to drink and chill out, particularly in the summer out front. I recently visited with family and we ordered a number of steaks and requested they all be cooked medium rare. Well ... Not one was medium rare in fact most were well done. Steaks are not... More

I have been using the Bulls Head for food and drink for a number of years, and I must say that it has gone right down in my estimation. The only like is the cask ales, the food was below standard and the choice from the menu was poor. I spent £42 on food and drink and fealt disappointed with... More

This pub is great clean and priced well. The food is very nice however just watch on Sundays paticularly - when the pub gets really busy they seem to struggle with dirty tables and run out of food on the menu.

Visited with my girlfriend and my dad and had the Sunday roast - very good value at £7.50 each. Unfortunately they didn't have any beef left, but I had the pork belly and it was a decent sized portion and cooked very nicely. The roast potatoes seemed to be ready-made but there was a nice selection of veg that was... More
