Bank Buster

This place is good but a tad pricey for what it is. Now that Shakou is open in St Charles, they need to pick up their game. I grew up on the west coast and worked for a Japanese bank for ten years. Batavia IL is not a destination for Sushi but this place will do if you have a... read more

I go here frequently and take others. Everyone raves about it, including sushi connoisseurs. I am always newly surprised by how great it is. A favorite dish because it's fun is the one that arrives on fire. I believe it's called "Dragon Fire". I love the dark, modern atmosphere. We never feel like we're sitting too close to other tables.... More

We found this restaurant by mistake and it was worth the stop. The sushi was very good. A nice place for a date with my wife. I would go back if I lived in the area.

Very trendy atmosphere and the sushi is what I would consider "designer." Excellent place for a nice dinner and great martinis. A must for any sushi lover.

They have a wide variety on the menu plus great daily specials. The whole family usually finds something they like beyond just sushi. Good bento boxes.

Swordfish has some really great Sushi, but for a price. Usually I try to find a mix of cheap but delicious and while Swordfish is the second one, it is a bit more expensive for my taste.

I had heard that Swordfish had great sushi but had never visited. One night my husband and I were shopping in the area and decided to stop in for a bite. It was close to closing time for them, but they still were gracious. Never said snitching to us snout the time, but gave us great service and great food.... More

Be prepared to get a work of art for your meal! This restaurant is a very well maintained, clean, fresh, and friendly place for a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner. Me and a group of associates I work with went to lunch at Swordfish and I was very impressed. The food was freshly prepared and presentation was extraordinary. The... More

Dined here for the second time in two years- not many options for sushi in this area and the food is generally very good. We ordered four sushi rolls - while all were fresh and good, spicy mayo - sometimes to excess - was used in all of the rolls. The price point is very high-service is generally good.

They have unique rolls. The salmon lunch special is also very good. The atmosphere is very trendy. Not as good as downtown Chicago sushi but pretty good for the outlying suburbs.
