The Best

We never go to Sandpoint without stopping at the Pie Hut (not on the main drag.) We usually take a whole pie home with us. Yum.

The Pie Hut is a quintessential hole-in-wall northern Idaho restaurant. Dine in for lunch -- soup & salad & pie -- or pick up one of their delicious chicken pot pies to heat and to eat at home. (And while you're there, pick up a regular dessert pie, too.) All their pies are fantastic. The crust makes a pie, of... More

Pie Hut all the way!! I cannot get enough of this place. Heather is a culinary master. I had the quiche lorraine my first time- it was delectable: fluffy & succulent. My second lunch I had the turkey and cranberry sandwich - which puts mine to shame. I am excited to enjoy my next meal there. Oh- and the pies!!... More

Cozy and inviting with delicious pies and great lunch deals. The people there were so friendly and down to earth. I had the marion berry pie and it was incredible! So flavorful and generous in serving size. I wish I could go back!

My three friends and I dined on soup and sandwiches for lunch which were very tasty. Afterwards we each indulged in a slice of pie which was incredible to say the least!! You will not be disappointed with a stop here! We will return!

So yep, the pies are wonderful...about 20 different homemade pies on any given day. Cherry crumble, Marion berry, peach, chocolate pecan. You really can't go wrong. Take an entire pie home for $12. But also try the soups. Soup and pie combo for $9. There was a Philippino pumpkin that was unique and full of flavor. My husband had the... More

The Pie Hut has wonderful homemade pies, both sweet and savory. I particularily enjoy the chicken potpies which can be purchased frozen for "take and bake" at home. The sandwiches are equally wonderful! On my last visit I had the Cuban sandwich and it was wonderful. Thinly sliced pork, perfect vinegary pickles, a great grain mustard, and slices of a... More

I got a slice of the highly recommended sour cream lemon pie which was the best lemon anything I've ever had. I also tried the marion berry apple pie, also amazing & a slice of the chocolate pecan, which again was amazing! The lemon one was my favorite but all worth a try!! Friendly service also.

The panini grills are superb, I had the "Heather". I was expecting iceberg lettuce but they served high quality greens in their salads. And the pie, definitely worth the splurge in calories. We will definitely stop again when traveling in the area. Please don't ever go away pie hut!
