As good as it gets (Anywhere)

I love this restaurant and staff. I get to the area every few years and FDL is never disappointing. My wife and I were recently in New Orleans and we ate at 3 of the top rated places there Commander's Palace, August, and Gautreaus. 3 acclaimed chefs and the only thing memorable was the price. I have eaten here twice this month and can't wait to eat there again. The french food is luscious and the service is impeccable. The portions of food are larger than you would expect but I can't leave any on my plate and can't pass on dessert. The passion fruit creme Brule is drool worthy.

My husband and I have eaten at Fleur de Sel about 5 times per year for the past few years. We have never had anything mediocre. I have tried most of their main dishes. They do rotate the menu seasonally, but keep about 3/4 of it the same. Normally I do not order vegetarian meals, but after once trying the... More

Hidden in a neighborhood, up on the hill and overlooking Post Falls, this place is worth a visit. We heard about it from friends and made a reservation. We were warmly greeted and the service was friendly and prompt. The food was very good as was the wine. We watched the sun set and the lights come on in the... More

We enjoy new places and after reading the reviews decided to try out Fleur de Sel as opposed to going to downtown Spokane. The restaurant shares the same building as the Highlands Day Spa, but that isn't a deterrent. We were warmly greeted when we came in and seated shortly thereafter. I can't say I was thrilled with location of... More

We were looking for a new place to try on a business trip to Coeur d'Alene and this spot caught my eye on TA. The restaurant is a little hard to find, but the tip about the "open" sign in the window is the key. We started with the charred octopus. Wonderful flavors and we needed bread to clean up... More

Friends introduced us to this surprise restaurant in the Highlands at Post Falls. Wonderful multi-course meal on New Year's Eve -- be there next year (as long as we still have a seat!) Each course beautifully prepared and delicious. Price is very reasonable for the quality of food rec'd and the service attention. Recomend for special occasions or just the... More

Having read wonderful things about the duck here, I decided this was where I was going to have my birthday dinner. I started with a beautifully made Lemondrop and the Foie Gras Panna Cotta. It was a wonderful appetizer, light and flavorful. (although I would like to see them add a pan seared foie gras to their starter menu, too.... More

I now have a new favorite restaurant for special dates with my girlfriend. As we drove up we could not see any signs to direct us but eventually saw the name discreetly located on the building's facing windows. Apparently they want people to feel rewarded by just finding it! We went there with a group of four couples and were... More
