Authentic French, yet unpretentious

Disclaimer: I was born and raised in France. The food here is flavorful, and authentic. The atmosphere is great, the prices fair, and the owners and hosts so nice and unpretentious. If you are in the mood for European food with a French flair and are up for some gastronomic discovery then this is your place. Unique in North Idaho the food is excellent, but the menu selections may not be for everyone.

Patricia and Laurent Zirotti are smart, charming owners. He inspires the kitchen and she the front-of-the-house. The food is meticulously prepared with excellent ingredients. My favorites are the chicken with ravioli and the short ribs. Both dishes have complex and delicate flavors and they melt in your mouth. The setting is comfortably elegant. Several tables have a sparkling view of... More

For quality and value this is top tier for the area! Certainly in the Top 10 for the Spokane/Coeur d''Alene area. Flour de Sel could make it in any great foodie market including Seattle and Houston. The menu changes seasonally and we've tried just about everything they offer. Soups are second to none, including the occasional cold summer soups. Family... More

The owners make you feel so welcomed, first class staff, the food is beyond delicious, the spices and sauces are amazing, they use a lot of locally grown produce and everything is fresh. You feel very well taken care of, the view is beautiful, you don't feel crowed, tables are nicely spaced, everything is clean, you are not rushed to... More

The most savory and delicate meal in North Idaho is the duck leg with duck sausage at Fleur de Sel in the Highlands development of Post Falls. Adding to the meal is the attentive service of the host and wait staff. Each couse is paced properly, with plenty of time to savor what has passed before what-is-to-come arrives. The new... More

Attended Sat. eves birthday meal and pleasantly surprised by friendliness of staff, esp. owners, quality/variety/prices of the food, & physical layout of the restaurant. I was expecting a stuffy, snobbish, high-end French place - this establishment is rather a warm, neighborly "Cheers" - type bistro with great food. We did have reservations, although if a spur of the moment decision,... More

hit the jackpot here, the food and presentation was amazing, A class service, make a reservation and dress up as most folks are, if you arent they over look it and you're still treated wonderfully. Part of the golf course, great neighborhood and view to be in. Can eat inside or outside depending on weather.
