I grew up in Poky and used to go to this place a lot. I came back to visit after a few years and this place is still as great (or better) than I remember. Best burritos ever!

First, let me qualify that I have been living in Texas for over 30 years. I have eaten my fair share of Mexican food all across the state. For this reason my review may be a bit biased as I am used to having a plethora of excellent Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants at my disposal. I wanted to try El... More

Can not beat for price and great food. Love veggie and spicy pork burrito. Have 3 locations including a taco bus. Half the price of fancier places with better food.

We moved to Pocatello 9 years ago and El Herradero is our favorite place to eat. There are many Mexican restaurants in town but most of them are "American-Mexican" which don't appeal to us. If you happen to love that kind of Mexican, don't stop at El Herradero. But if you like authentic Mexican, then you'll love it! The service... More

I have no idea how they got such a high rating, but maybe this just the standard for Pocatello. I have eaten a lot of mexican food around the US. I have never been to mexico, It is possible they have a more traditional menu. It just didn't sit right with me.

Driving across the country we looked forward to a stop in Pocatello and in this restaurant as it was rated as #1 on the Tripadvisor. Was this a joke? Is this rigged by readers affiliated with the restaurant? We ordered two burritos. The food presentation of steak burritto and beans, appeared as if a blob of big poo was swimming... More

We stopped in on the way from Jackson Hole to Boise to check out El Herradero and the Museum of Clean. Both were awesome and worth the little trek off the highway to experience them. El Herradero was fantastic. LIttle hole in the wall type place next to a gas station (but in its own building). The service was great... More

We ate at El Herradero after a long trip from Denver. The staff was quick and very friendly. The food was great and an even better value. The servings were also large. Great mexican food in Idaho!

The staff at our hotel recommended this restaurant. It was a small, nondescript building and we almost missed it, but I am glad we didn't! This was some of the best Mexican food I have eaten. The tomatillo sauce was nice and spicy and the fajita burrito was outstanding. The service was a little slow but the food was excellent.
