Love this place...

Great food and fabulous hospitality. Eating here is like going to someone's home for dinner. The menu is varied and has some very unique items from seafood to traditional basque lamb dishes.

My husband and I were in the Boise area on job interviews. We prefer local, ethnic and smaller restaurants and had never had Basque food. The owner welcomed us like old family friends and both she and our server were exceptionally warm. We declined the menus and asked that they pick out our "Basque" meal for us. They served us... We had a wonderful evening at Epi's. We were greeted and then served by the restaurant owner, who treated us like old friends, even though this was our first visit. My husband had tongue, which was outstanding and I had lamb, which was also excellent. The restaurant was crowded and a little noisy (it's small), but the atmosphere is so... More

My wife and I recently went to Epi's with friends. We had not been for a few years, but were glad we tried it again. We were welcomed warmly by Gina, the owner, who seated us and explained the evening specials. We tried the osso buco and it was one of the best we had ever had, served on a... More

Incredible service from the welcome through leaving. Not pushy or crying - just right and very homelike. Had never tried Basque food before. Had the cod (which comes with two filets and can come two ways - they gave me one of each). Everything was rich and flavorful, but not in a haute cuisine sort of way. It's more like... More

Wonderful romantic meal for our 21st wedding anniversary. We loved reading about the family history and enjoyed the recommendations of the appetizer and the wine. Delicious meal of the chefs choices. It's a delicacy that has become a favorite of ours.

Took our parents to dinner on their visit from California. Chris was AS ALWAYS warm and smiley, with hugs for the men ;). Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, and our meals were delicious. You must enjoy Basque food to really experience what Epi's has to offer - no hamburgers here!! I enjoyed the red bean soup, and the filet... More

Epi's is a different place to go, nestled in a historic home on Main St. in Meridian. Serving very traditional Basque food in a relaxed surroundings, like going to someone's house for dinner. The food is prepared with love, and tastes wonderful. My favorite is the beef medallions, tender chunks, served in a Basque gravy. Only open for dinner, and... More

Authentic Basque food served in a family setting. Great variety of well made items. Portions are large enough to share and the service is good. Located in an old home in central Meridian the atmosphere is great.

Epi's is a unique experience. Family run with a homestyle seating & serving. Great and authentic Basque food. I've used the Epi's cookbook at home and it too is great. Reservations required and not open all the time, but well worth the effort.
