I have traveled and lived in many parts of the world. Eating out is a hobby of mine, I guess. I like to find the out of the way places or hometown places. I had heard of Epi's but then there were other Basque restaurants in the Boise area from which to choose. But I figured I should try what... More

First impressions are everything and Chris greeted us and set the bar so high with her openess and desire to please that the diner may feel there is now way Epi's can exceed the friendliness and well wishing. After the meal concludes the diner feels that the food exceeded a great start to the experience. The wine list was complimentary... More

It was my Birthday. My wife suprised me with a dinner at this local Basque jewel. As you walk through the door, one is struck with the noise and energy of a big, loud family. Everyone was laughing, having a great time. We got a quieter 2 top in the back corner. The ambience was lovely and quite homey. A... More

We met up with family at Epi's last night and were immediately greeted by Chris (Owner) at the door. she has to be the nicest person in the city every day of her life. There was never a rush, in fact it was a nice slow pace with drinks and appetizers, followed by our soup, then the salad course before... More

My first experience with Epi's was a dozen years ago when I was taken there by friends, Now I try never to miss it when I'm in Boise. Great food. Great service and reasonable price for the quality, Don't miss the calamari starter. Good wine list Reserve ahead. It's VERY popular.

Having been fed by Grandma Epi herself, oh so many years ago, I was so pleased when Chris chose to carry on the tradition. From your first step in the door where you are hugged by Chris as though you are family, to the very last morsel, you will find yourself taken back in time when the Basque boarding houses... More

I was told this was the best Basque food in the Boise area, so wanted to try it out. We came in without a reservation on a Wed. night, and were lucky that there was one table available. The place is popular, so book ahead. We were greeted like long-lost relatives and given a brief history of the place. Most... More

Going to Epi's is almost like being invited to a Basque family's home for dinner. I say almost because Epi's is always packed. Despite how many tables they managed to pack into this little house and how many people are always there, it still manages to be homey and welcoming. And the food is fantastic and fabulous. The biggest problem... More
